Dear You need to adjust the computer resoultion to one of the following..

1088 x 612

1280 x 720

1360 x 768

you can increase it more; depends on your graphic card installed in system..

HOw to change the resoultion??

First right-click on the desktop and then left click on Properties from the menu that appears.

The display properties dialogue box will appear as shown in fig 1.1 below, click on the settings tab at the top right of the box.

I have a u220w monitor - 8486020.gif

Screen Resolution
This slide bar is what you use to change the resolution, the options you have will depend on your graphics card and monitor.

Changing the Resolution
To change your resolution simply slide the bar along to the resolution of your choice and then click the Apply button.

After clicking Apply your screen will resize to the new resolution and you will be presented with a confirm dialogue box (see left), if you are happy with the way your screen looks then simply click Yes, if you would like to try a different resolution click No.

When you have finished simply close the Display properties box.

Let me know if it helps...

You are framing a rectangular print that is 10 inches wide and 34 inches long. this wall space has an area of 640 square inches. what is the width of the frame so that the framed print fits perfectly in...

If we assume the width of the frame is X. Then the one dimension of the framed picture will be 2X + 20 and the other dimension of the picture will be 2X + 34. We know the total area of the framed picture should be 640 in^2. Therefore:
(2X + 10) * (2X + 34) = 640
If you multiply this out you get:
4X^2 + 88X + 340 = 640
Subtract 640 from both sides:
4X^2 + 88X - 300 = 0
Divide both sides by 4:
X^2 + 22X - 75 = 0
Use the quadratic equation to solve for X, with A=1, B=22, C=75
X = [-22 +/- sqr(22^2-4*(-75)] /2
This reduces to:
(-22 +/- 48) / 2
The negative solution doesn't make sense in this case. Therefore: X = (-22 + 28) /2 = 6/3 = 3

Therefore the width of the frame should be 3 inches.

The picture on my Compaq monitor shifted 1 inch to the left. There is a one inch black space on the right side. I have a HP Compaq d530 CMT

click menu button on monitor. you will see a series of Icons (or scroll through a series of Icons) and one will be a square with a smaller square inside it that is half inside the larger and half out. Navigate to that Icon. Use the + or - buttons to move the screen in either direction until it evens out. Use + or - button to navigate back to exit and and then press menu button to exit screen. Or, sometimes you simply push the menu button a second time. These 3 buttons will be on the bottom front of the monitor. Good luck

How to get an undistorted picture without cropping. This is an Olevia, and it is not listed below.

I assume you have a wide screen tv? most TV show are broadcast in a square (4:3) format, on a wide screen television the screen is rectangular, so to fit the square picture on the rectangle screen you have to either crop the top and bottom, or stretch and distort the image. the only real solutions are either to watch everything in the 4:3 format (leaving the sides of your screen blank), or subscribe to HD which will broadcast most programs in a wide screen format with out distortion.

I have an acer Al1916W 19" LCD monitor. And the picture is off-center, it leaves about 1inch at the right side and a half in on the top, in 1400X900 res, and leaves about 3 inches of black at the left side...

The "native" resolution of the monitor is 1440 (not 1400) by 900.

Set the video-card to 1440-by-900 or try 1080-by-675 or try 720-by-450 or try 960-by-600.

Picture not centered on my philips 47'' lcd tv

NOTE:(Edited and copied from another thread on Fixya.com, c7carl)

Picture is not centered on monitor leaving a 2 1/2 inch; black border on Philips LCD
By dmorrow54 on Nov 13, 2007
Again, nothing in manual for Philips LCD will correct the fact that the picture in HD-D mode will not center. The picture runs off the monitor on the left (facing the monitor) with a 2 1/2" black border on the right (facing the monitor). Using the format button on the remote of directional arrows will not correct the issue. The wide-screen/ full-screen function with format does nothing. Moving into TV mode, the format function works to display screen in several ways 4:3, 19:2, super-zoom, wide-screen, full-screen. Help, please. posted 3 years ago

I have a Philips 30 inch LCD and solved the problem by using the circular arrow button on the TV remote. Pointing it at the TV and clicking "right" (3 o'clock on the button), the picture moved right. Same thing on for "left". Worked for me.

WOW! It works!! The picture on my Magnavox (aka Philips) 37MF321D had shifted to the right. I figured I had a big repair bill coming up soon. But hey! Just used the TV remote as described by "Guest', and re-centered the picture to the left. Wallah! Thanks ""Guest" whomever you are! Reply

My problem is about our lcd monitor, at first it has this vertical black color between 2 sides and i like it because it does not affect the horizontal view in my games,,but now, the black in the 2 sides...

I think your screen is set up for "widescreen".
This is also called 16:9.

I would browse the monitor's menu (where you adjust the brightness and contrast', and see if you can put it back to 4:3 (4:3 is the ratio of a TV, kinda square").

I suggest that you try that, and post back with your monitor's model. (example : Samsung T220). It should be written on the monitor.

2 inch black on both sides of the monitor (Horizontal)

Hi Bj, Is it an aftermarket video-card? If it is, like ATI or Nvidia, Download the recent drivers for your particular card, Uninstall your Videocard from device manager, then install the software.
