Mitsubishi WS65611 no remote function & panel buttons not working

My Mitsubishi WS65611 remote has power but does not work. The TV will only turn on with the front panel power button. Once on, none of the front panel buttons function except when any of them are depressed, the screen blanks out for 1-2 seconds then comes back on. There is a picture but it's a good thing it's stuck on the HDTV device so I can at least watch TV until I find a repair for it. The sound is thankfully stuck on a reasonable volume because it can't be changed by any of the buttons. Any help would be appreciated. I've pressed the reset button many times and have unplugged and replugged many times. You can email me at lincar5000@mail.saabnet.com If this happened to you and you found a solution. Thanks in advance for any help

This TV is known for the buttons going bad. You can remove the speaker grille to gain access to the wires for the panel. You may have to pull off the font access panel to get to the connector. There will be two of them, one for the input, other for the control panel buttons. If the buttons are bad, unhooking them will make the TV work fine with remote. I believe the connector is labeled ZR and is not the one with the thicker black wires (shieled video wires). Unhooking is my fix for this problem as replacing the buttons seems to be only a temporary fix.

Mitsubishi tv remote will not turn tv on. put in new batteries already . only the red light on the tv button turns on.

You should reprogram your remote. Start with the tv on. You have got to find a code that will operate all of the functions you want it to. In others some code will only turn on the tv. Some codes will work with volume and the channels. Once you find a code that works you should be able to operate the tv with the remote. It sounds like to me when you put new batteries you erased the function of your mitsbishi remote. So once the tv turns off you have found your code.. but make sure before you save it you write down on something; and, it works all of the functions that you want it to. I hope that this helps a ton...

I have a Mitsubishi 73"

i would suspect your control buttons on your front panel on the set have become shorted. specifically the volume buttom down. This is freezing you control functions. like someone is holding the volume down button all the time. or intermitantly. this cuircit board is on front of the set. I have seen this problem a few times at the shop. The common repair is to replace that button assembly cuircit board. I believe the last time it cost the customer around 85 dollars, but like all things depends on the part and the technician that puts it in.

Code chunghop RM 139ES for TV Mitsubishi?

Hi,

The Mitsubishi TV codes for this remote are 011 and 051.

Programming instructions:

1. Switch on the TV
2. Press the "SET" button in the top-left corner of your Chunghop remote until the LED next to the "SET" button illuminates.
3. Enter the first code above 0 1 1 using the numerical buttons on the remote.

The LED next to the "SET" button will go out if you have correctly entered a code.

4. Test the remote with the TV. If it doesn't work - or doesn't operate the TV functions as you would expect - repeat the above steps for the other code.

Please note: Not all universal remotes will work with all TVs.

If the codes above don't work please post back for further assistance. It may be that your remote wont work with your TV or you may need to run the code search feature of the remote to find the correct code.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

Mitsubishi television model WS65611 Serial 113678. Television does not response to remote. Can manually turn on but no other buttons work. Picture and sound are good.

Buy an infared card at local electronics store. Press remote and point at card, should glow orangey. If not then remote is bad. If it glows then reset remote, lastly open up remote and clean the finger pad on the back with alcohol gently, really gently. Look for soda , coffee etc. Good luck , be safe..

WS-55511 55in volume turns up by itself & can't switch devices

The remote is not the problem. The switch for volume up on the control panel has become leaky. Very common problem for this generation Mitsubishi. If you don't mind not having the control panel working you can disconnect it and the set will work just fine with the remote. To disconnect the control panel pull the speaker grill, it just snaps off, and remove the front access panel. Once that is done you'll see a cable going to the switches just disconnect it.
