Question about Panasonic KX-T7633 Corded Phone

1 Answer

PIN Number I have the Quick Reference Guide for the Panasonic telephone KX-T7633. We cannot locate instructions in our office. The person that entered a PIN number left the company and did not advise the PIN number - I need to create a new PIN number for the reception area. Also, we need to change the voice greeting but cannot find instructions on doing that - does the greeting have to be from the main phone?

    Hello Team -

The problem is we only have the Quick Reference Guide for the panasonic KX-T7633. The person that purchased the system has left the company and did not leave any instructions, booklets or CD.

We need to know how to change the password on the reception phone as there are messages & we cannot retrieve them as we have no record of the orig PIN.

You indicated we could change the greeting if we know where it's stored - how do we find that out?

    Thanks again

    Carol :-)

Yes - I do get the display "Sys Pgm No?" on extension 101 -

Also, it seems both black boxes have the model # as KX-TVA50

    Would this be correct?

I'm sure there were instructions left but the person that left may have had them in his files which are no longer avail to us.

Thanks so much - what is the next step ?

    You are a genius !!!

    C :-)

O.K. Now here's where the fun begins. What is a PIN? Panasonic has two and btw you have a TDA-50 and a TVA-50. The D is the phone system and the V is the voice mail.

If the PIN is an extension lock code, it can be reset from extension 101. If it is a VM password, it can be reset from anywhere...by accessing mailbox 999. The first is easy. The second one requires the System administrator's password which may be at default or set to the same as the Message Manager's password.

Let me know which PIN you need.

Wow, first of all, walk up to the phone at extension 101. Do not pick up the handset and press PROG and dial *#1234. Look at the display. If it says "Sys Pgm No?" then it's fixable.

As far as the voice mail...you need to find the black and white or two black cabinets in the back room and read the model numbers from the cabinets.

Surely the person who installed the phone left you with at least some kind of instructions?

The manager of your system has instructions on how to reset an extension PIN. It's in the TDA User manual under Manager programming.

The Voice mail instructions are specific to your Voice Mail System. Its instructions are in a separate manual that should have been delivered on a CD. For your time frame, I'm guessing a TVA system. The greeting can be changed from anywhere, including from my phone :-) if you know where it's stored.

O.K. Here's your solution, but it's only available to you until next Monday. Go here http://public.carl.airpost.net/ and get both TDA EXT PIN files. One is the extension users guide and the other is the admin sequence to reset it. Please comment and/or rate this solution so I know you have it and I can take it down earlier.

This is one of the codes that can't be posted in a public forum.

How do i change the telephone number on an extension? panasonic kx-t7633

It's done in system programming. You can't directly change it, you may have to manufacture a number like 666, change A to 666, B to A, then 666 to A. It's the Panasonic way, no SWAP Directory command :-)

Going to depend on what type of voice mail. One option to try is while listening to the message try 5* to rewind it or you can type 2 to restart the message.

How do I change the voice mail prompts to forward to cell phone.

I can get you to the right place, maybe. You are better off calling the installer who set this up to see what method he used.

Assuming you have a TDA/TVA system, pages 45-50 describe how it was probably installed. WIth personal custom service, it is the easiest one to make changes on. We usually set it up as an ICD group, which gives everyone 3 digit access from everywhere, but you have to have access to the system programming to change numbers.
