Window Media Center disappear on my Window Vista PC

I got new PC HPa1747c model with window Vista Home Premium, The window Media Center was included as OS. After I installed Roxio 2009, the WMC was gone. I do not know what happen??? No icon, program, software at all. I do search for WMC, it is not show up. I look in the Recover Manager (D: drive), there is none. I contact HP support, they recomended me to run recover and format my hard drive. However, I installed so many new programs that was not included as the original package from HP. I do not want to loose these softwares since I got some from my friends. I wish you have some better solutions for me, I love WMC and I want it back. Thank you very much.

    Hi leecom72,

I have no luck. I tried system restore, but no WMC. Look like it is gone forever. Thank you for your help. I think I can use some thing else for media. The only thing good in WMC for me is I can record TV, but now may be not.

Samsung Plasma TV just died, some troubleshooting done already. Model Number PS64F8500

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Ssd won't show up as destination drive.

I'm not sure this is your problem, as you question isn't descriptive enough. But here's a solution if I do understand your question correctly.

When I have installed new hard drives in the past, I did the physical install, turned the computer on, and they just worked. Not so with SSDs I've installed. After the physical install, the SSD does not show up in the "Computer" window with all the other drives; because it's not FORMATTED.

Solution:
Navigate through:
Start > right-click on "Computer" in the right pane > select "Manage" > in the left pane select "Disk Management"

All the drives will show up in the main window, including the SSD you just installed. If it does not show up, there's a problem. Maybe one of the cables isn't fully inserted, or there's a defective cable, or a defective SSD.

You can tell the SSD from the other drives by the Gigabyte capacity, and also by the fact that it does not have an assigned drive letter (e.g. C:). Also, it's named something like "New Edition".

To continue to formatting, navigate:
Right click the SSD > select "Format" > select "Quick Format"

A drive letter will be assigned. You are given the option to change this letter if you want. Also, you are given the option to name this drive. This name will appear with the drive listing in the "Computer" window. I simply used the name "SSD", however if you want something more discriptive or colorful, it's your computer, it's your SSD, you can name whatever you want.

The other format option is for when one is installing a used HD which may have bad sectors. That option scans for bad sectors, and takes a LOT longer to format. Not necessary for a new SSD. Plus, you can scan a drive for bad sectors anytime with the "chkdsk" command.

The SSD is now ready for use, including for use as the main drive. Windows will happily load onto this drive.

How to put photos onto flash drive?

If you are using a Windows Computer, when you plug in the flash drive into USB port, you should get a message on the screen that says that you have installed a new removable drive. It will ask you what you want do next and one of the options would be to copy your photos. Note which drive letter the new drive is using - if you want to copy files manually, open My Documents, select My Computer on the left side panel, and select the drive that matches your Fllash Drive. When it opens, you can open. A second window to the location where your photos are, and then just copy and paste, or drag and drop between the two windows.

Is there some sort of adapter for a sandisk Ultra CompactFlash 4gb, that i can use to put picutres on my computer?

The device:
Belkiin Universal Media Card Reader
Can be connected to your computers USB port and will then allow you to move pictures from the compact flash card to your computer.
After you connect the device and insert the card you will see a short delay and near the bottom right corner of the screen a message will appear letting you know that windows is setting up the new device. Moments after this completes you will see a new window popup asking what you would like to do with the media card. From the list select move pictures to my computer with the Scanner And Camera Wizard. During the move it will remove the pictures from the card and give you more free space for pictures if you click the checkbox labeled Delete Original Pictures.

BULB REPLACEMENT FOR 60-CT4

The front window should be removable to access the bulb, if the bulb or the contacts for the bulb aren't it, it may be internal and be that the light control circuit is defective. When it does work though, the flash is the correct brightness, right?
