Question about PC Desktops

The scrolling on the screen is actually jumping up and downt the page instead of the fluid smooth movement that it should be when using the scroll wheel.

Go to Settings/Control Panel/Mouse/Wheele and change the setting.

Scroll bar moves down the screen on its own on my pc


It's the movement of the mouse that's doing that. Select the scroll lock button on your keyboard and that should resolve it.

When i scroll up and down the page is wavey


If for wavy you mean that it is very jumpy as you scroll, not smooth, then it is a classic sign of the incorrect driver for your video card.

Not smooth scrolling


To solve this problem please try followin:

1. If you have a a rollball mouse, try cleaning it. Sometimes it will prevent mouse curser to move freely.

2. Check following setting:

Start/Setting/Control pannel click Mouse option.
Select Pointer Options
Make sure "Enhance Pointer Percision" is checked and make sure you have pointer speed selected as you like.

Mikomi/USB optical mouse has started scrolling problem like page refreshing each movement of scroll wheel and if a large movement is made,pages wont stop "refreshing." XP home software,service...


Solution found by altering the screen resolution, this brought the mouse under normal scrolling control

If you have Vista see here : Windows Vista Help: Change screen resolution

If the problem concerns the monitor settings instead, unplug monitor from power for two minutes to reset it.

Increase the resolution of your screen. To do this go to start>control panel>display>settings>screen resolution
