Question about Brother GX-6750 Typewriter

1 Answer

Ink cartridge pops up when the return key is hit...

Our office has a Brother GX-6750 and almost every time we hit the return key, the machine advances to the next line, but the ink cartridge pops up. We have to shut the machine down and then turn it back on for the cartridge to go back to it's original position. How do I keep it from doing this??? It takes twice as long to type anything now...

I installed a new cartridge ib my Brother GX 6750 and it is not printing..The keys are working fine however it is not hitting the tape to print.

Hi!
Neat little typewriter.

Think back, and reverse the steps.
Before you removed the finished ribbon, you had to pull on a little lever that is next to the printhead, right?

Now that you inserted the new ribbon, you must push that same lever towards the platen, away from you, in order to lock it back in the normal printing position.

Please feel free to contact me if you wish.

Brother GX-6750 wrong characters problem.

Hi!

You are right. It seems that your daisywheel needs resetting. To reset it hold down the "CODE" key, while holding press the Reset key "Q" and then release.

If the wrong characters continue printing, change to a new daisywheel.
