Question about Canon Digital Cameras

1 Answer

I have a Canon PowerShot S31S. 2 problems I am having. 1. I am unable to get my card out. I believe that the white side protector that slides has broke. I can eject it, but can't pull it out. 2. Wanting my pictures, I hooked up my USB cord to the camera to computer, but forgot to shut off camera. Now my camera won't turn on. Tried taking out batteries for a period of time, nothing. Changed batteries nothing. Any help would be greatful. Gay Lynn

How do you unlock the card on a Canon Powershot A1100is? My wife was playing with her camera and she locked herself out of her SanDisc Ultra II SD Card

Pull the sd card out and look on the left side with the card facing you. You will see a slide switch on the left side. It is probably in the down position (locked). Move the switch up and the card will be unlocked. Done!

Canon Powershot A560

Remove the SD card from the camera. Slide the tiny slide switch on the side of the card to the other "unlocked" position. Reinsert the card in the camera. That should do it.

Remove the SD card from the camera. Look for the tiny slide switch on the side of the card. Slide this switch back to the unlocked position (opposite of whatever its at now).

Card locked canon powershot sd750

Check the switch on the side of your SD memory card. It is a small sliding switch which has a lock position. Sounds like the switch is in the "locked" position. Unlock, reload card, & you should be good to go. If not, the card is probably damaged.

I had the same problem with a card in my power shot A540. on the side of the card there is a little white slide-bar. Push that bar the opposite direction of where it is and see if that works. Good luck!
