Re: And I have a project due tomorrow!!!

I would suspect either the cable connecting the camera and TV or the TV itself. What type of TV are you plugging into and what type of inputs are you connecting to?

Canera does play videos sound

Try playing the video on a computer some cameras don't have a speaker for playback. Try to download it to the computer to see if you got sound. Most camera hook up to a tv using a av cable which you can do as well. Hope this helps

I have a sony w110 DSC. My problem is that I cannot play videos on a tv when connecting with the AV cables provided

Hmm.. Make sure that your TV is set on Video (1,2 or 3) depends on which port you connected your camera. Can you view the pictures properly on your TV? If you can see the pictures/videos on your camera and then connect it to your TV, you should be able to see the pictures and the videos. Unless the AV cable is damaged/not working.

Welcome to FixYa.

You can use the supplied AV cable to shoot or playback images using a TV/computer.

1. Turn off the camera and the computer/tv
2. Connect the AV cable to the camera's A/V out terminal(open the terminal cover and plug the AV cable in all the way)
3. Plug the other ends of the cable to the VIDEO IN and AUDIO IN jacks on the computer/ TV.
4. Turn on the TV/ computer and switch it to video mode
5. Turn on the camera.

Please let me know if you have any questions and if this solution was helpful.

Manual for samsung es65 camera I would like to view my pictures on my samsung TV I was told I could do this direct from the camera to the TV just by using the a/v cable Is this correct and if so what ports...

You can download a user manual from here:-

You should have a AV cable with the camera, that has 1 round plug at one end and 3 round plugs at the other.

The single end plugs into your camera, there is a socket on the side marked AV. The three plugs at the other end go intot the TV.

They are colour coded (White - audio left, Yellow - Video and Red - Audio right) you need to find three sockets on your TV which match. Once connected and a slide show running on your camera, select one of the AV tv channels on your tv remote control.

If there isn't the 3 colour coded sockets on your TV, there probably is a couple of SCART connectors on the back (Big black socket with about 20 holes) You can buy adaptors, from electrical stores, which convert your AV cable out to a scart. Its just a box with the 3 coloured inputs and a scart output.

Playing Back images/Video Clips on TV You can also playback your images on a TV screen. Before connecting to any device, make sure to select NTSC/PAL system to match the video output system of the video equipment you are going to connect to Vivicam 5340s, then turn all connected devices off. 1. Position Vivicam 5340s on the cradle. 2. Match the docking connectors and carefully insert Vivicam 5340s until it fits in place. 3. Connect one end of the A/V cable to the A/V terminal of the cradle. 4. Connect the other end to the A/V input socket of the TV set. 5. Turn the TV and Vivicam 5340s on. 6. Playback the still images/video clips. The method of operation is the same as playing back still images and video clips on Vivicam 5340s. I hope this helps:)
