Re: Camera Not Working Wirelessly

I think maybe the problem is that the cam has already been recognised and given an ip address when you connect via RJ45 cable, but when you try wirelessly, there is a replication of the ip address which is not allowed. Check your router to see what ip address was given to the cam and remove if neccasary so as to re new the cam ipaddress. I would turn off the encryption first to try and get it working, then turn on again.

I can't get this website to work. It's supposed to be the website to configure my BL-131 Network Camera. I got the camera a couple of years ago and just now replaced my router. ...

Replacing the router will not have changed any settings in the camera. The IP address is the factory default for the camera, unless you assigned a new one when you set the camera up.

This is a wired/wireless camera, and if you're trying to connect wirelessly you probably have a router setup issue. Like any wireless device, the camera needs to provide the right key to connect. If you haven't set up your new router's wireless security yet, or set it up with a different key than the old one, the camera won't be able to connect. If the camera's not on your network, you won't reach it and you'll have the problem you described.

The simplest thing to do is to start fresh. Reset the camera to factory defaults with its rear-panel reset button. The button is recessed and you'll need a pen or other object to press it for a couple of seconds. Connect the camera to the router using a cable, and you'll be able to reach it again on Set up the wireless network in your router (assign network name, security key, etc.). Then go through the camera wireless setup steps so it can connect to your network and you'll be back in business.

If you need a copy, you can download the manual and find other information here from Panasonic.

D-link DSC-900w problem

I've had similar problems with 900's. Problem is, they have too short of a range. If you sit the camera (wireless) beside your router, you work fine. Separate it, no connection. They sell several models of antenna extenders for D-Link models including a huge master antenna, if you have a D-Link router. That has all my 900's working.

Camera works fine at ground level, powers up then shuts down at installation site.

The camera is not the problem. Are you using a USB Cable to connect the camera or a Cat5 cable. It has to be with the cable connecting the camera. If you have the manual for the camera, check to see how far from the computer you can set it and what the cable requirements are.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

Cannot see video from WAN

Are you trying to set up router ?
You can set up your router manually, without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.
