Question about Logitech X-530 Computer Speakers

1 Answer

Logitech X-530 Hi, I have seen a few comments/helpful suggestions you have made for this system, however I seem to have a rather odd situation. Don't know why and here goes. I replaced an older logitech speaker system, which had the same jack config. When I plugged in the new X-530's I get all sound except internal sound. Example computer sounds or anything direct from the internet YouTube and the like. I can, however hear ALL sounds through my headphones. Is this an internal issue. Running realtek 4.04 version 5.06. ASUS a8n32-SLI. Can't seem to abolish ASUS' sound controller, although it has always worked prior. Thanks, Tom

The suggestion above is one I had already preformed. Over the weekend I dug deep into this. Turns out the jacks on the back of the sub were faulty. I exchanged the system and now it works great. Thanks.

Hi, I bought recently a new 5.1 Surround Sound System Logitech X-530 and want to connect it to our new LCD LG 32LD450 HD TV. The LG TV has apart from all Digital, Optical and RCA Connections as well one...

You can't connect the speakers to your TV. I doesn't have any audio output available, just inputs. Those are for connecting the audio from sources like DVD players, and they go in to the TV's sound system. But there's no way of getting the sound out except through the set's internal speakers. The surround system you got is great for a computer, but it's not what you need for TV use.

The only solution I can offer is the suggestion that you invest in a home theater receiver. You can get decent basic systems with the receiver (often with DVD/audio CD playback capability built in) and surround speakers at reasonable prices. Then you use that to drive the speakers, and use the TV just as a video monitor. Then you will have surround sound.

I am currently on Windows 7 Ultimate and I have surround system of Logitech X-530 and the front 2 speakers a playing sond how do I solve this to make the other work as well? Additional information: I also...

Hi...hard time with your logitech Speaker., do you have a 5.1 sound card install inside your pc, like 6 outputs and two input jack on your sound card... a pro sound card to make your logitech X-50 work like a charm if you dont have... I suggest to by a creative soundblaster pro 5.1, but if you do have a surround sound card with 6 input jack install in your pc and fail to work properly...ride down the model of your sound card and check if it compatible with windows 7., just download the patch for it... good luck.

I have had this a few times with customers. You might want to check if the sound cards front speaker ports are working correctly. If the card is working, the problem might be with your right front speaker, ckech that it is working. You might also want to check the settings in control panel; this has helped me a number of times.

cheers

There should be a setting in your sound card, assuming it is a 5.1 surround card, that allows the card to split the signal from two input connections (normally the normal speaker input'green' and the mic input'pink')into the required 5.1 output.
