Apex gt2715 vertical sweep capacitors

Check the filter capacitor to the power supply to vertical output section. Normally, this supply will be provided by LOT. Check the rectifier diode and smoothing capacitor. Replace all the electrolytic capacitors [5 or 6 of them] in the vertical output section. It will be the best remedy. Never forget to replace the supply smoothing capacitor described above.

I am trying to find a 270k capacitor for this tv where do i get one

Hello Neonblackfyr, Hi, There are no 270K capacitors, Its most likely a resistor, can you give a snap shot of the part. 270 is the value and K is for kilo OHMs in resistors, if you are sure its a capacitor, 270 means 27 x 10 raised to the 0 power is equal to 27 x 1 which is 27, K is +/- 10 percent, no such capacitor exist, the closest is 27uF but not 270K. here is a link to clear thing up: for capacitors and for resistors: Enjoy.

Can i get a copy of the power supply diagram for samsung 204B syncmaster ,i replaced the capacitors that were inflated in the power supply and in the inverter but the backlight not turn on. i want to know...

jose54tony, Schematics would only be available from Samsung. Rarely do they let them out of there tight grip!! You may need to look at the smps board and inverter board to find bad transistors that may have also died (muerto) when the electrolytic filter capacitors failed. 12fixlouie

Hi Tim
I got the capacitors from Honson (College Home Hardware) 306 College St. W., Toronto, ON, CANADA, They cost between $1 and $5 ea and there were 26 of them to replace.. As I remember, the bill for the capacitors was about $80. If you don't live in Toronto, you might want to Google yourself another source, but he lets you pick them out of his parts bins and you can get them immediately. His prices were also better than anybody around here. You will also need a roll of 2mm copper desoldering wicking tape ($3), a 150 watt soldering gun, a 40 watt soldering iron and a roll of rosin core solder.

Repairing the board is as easy as 123, 26 times :(
1) Make a list of all of the electrolytics on the board. To order them you will need to supply 3 values for each: The voltage (ie 35V), the capacitance (ie: 220uf) and the temperature rating (ie: 105C).
You should be able to read these values off the ones on the board. There is quite a bit of duplication, so even if the existing one is too fried to read, you may be able to match it to another one the same size color and shape.
2) Put a black mark on the top of each capacitor in the board with a black permanent marker so that you will be able to identify which ones are left to replace.
3) Replace the capacitors one at a time by placing the copper desoldering tape abon the connection you wish to desolder and heating it with the soldering gun until the solder on the board is wicked away into the tape. Remove the capacitor noting the - connection and insert the replacement with the - lead in the same hole as the - lead of the other capacitor went into. Solder in the new capacitor with the soldering iron.
4) Repeat step 3 twenty-six times, check your work often and you're done with the board.
5) Now, cut, drill or punch some extra holes in the metal coffin that the power board sits in so that you wont bake it again, install the power board and fire up the TV.

It worked for me first time, just be real careful that you install the capacitors with the correct polarity and that the new solder joints are shiny and dont bridge to other connections.

Good luck and let me know how you make out.

Power supply

I have the complete kit of capacitors to repair the LTV-2701 power supply. These power supplies need 20 capacitors for the secondary side of the power supply and 7 for the primary side. I can put together the kit with the 27 capacitors as well.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Darn blue loading light won't stop

The problem with these units is the filter capacitors in the power supply. They should be removed and replaced with 25 v.dc cost for the capacitors £5. If you don't fancy doing the repair your self, perhaps you know of a good friend who can use a soldering iron!

The capacitors are 2200 micro farads radial mounting, 680 and 1200, all should be at least 25v dc working for a reliable recorder. The existing ones are prone to "leaking" and should never have been used...shame on you JVC!
