Question about Fujitsu AMILO M-6500 Notebook
I have a satellite A50 with a dim screen. I have changed/tried a different invertor and no luck. I was told that it might be, for a lack of a better term, the metal bar/strip that has the on/off button on it. It seems to have a fuse or something in one corner. Just not sure how to test it from here. Any help would be appreciated. I can not seem to find a service manual or parts list to describe that part.
The fuse you are referring to is probably a photodiode. It is probably gone bad. This bad diode is telling computer that the lid is closed and hence the screen is dimmed out.
