Fuel filter? Does it have a file filter?

Hi, there's this website something like reliable-store and it is very amazing for manual for repairing servicing anything

3rd time I bought it, I also had an issue with the file so the girl replaced it in 30 mins

Check fuel pressure system, e.i. file pump pressure, fuel pump itself (most are inside fuel tank) fuel rail pressure (if equipped) plugged or restricted fuel filter.

That fuel filter is in the fuel tank, attached to the fuel pump. Not a very difficult job. Remove the rear seat cushion, then remove the access panel to the pump. Remove the gas cap to relieve any pressure. Remove the ground wire and fuel lines, then remove the filter.

When I look at the operator manual it does not mention a fuel filter anywhere including the maintenance schedule.

Have you checked the fuel lines are alright and carburettor is not dirty. By the way what about the oil. Lack of proper oil can create friction in the piston and eventually destroy the cylinder and piston.

You may need a fuel pump. Please remove and check the fuel filter for metal and debris (could be clogged?) If there is metal filings found inside the filter. That is an indication of a fuel pump failure. I hope that helps, good luck.

sounds like a bad fuel pump

It sounds like you have a dirty fuel filter that needs to be replaced.

one possibility is the conical fuel filters fitted in fuel line where fuel line goes into carb body has become blocked. these filters are not shown on parts files but unless allready removed are there,as I have come across this fault with triumphs many times, hope this helps

the fuel pump in the tank are well known for breaking up, if the filter keeps the fine metal filings out of the HP pump all you need is a new tank pump (they are available after market from motor factors) dont drive it until you have changed pump, fuel filter and really cleaned the casing.
