Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
My computer is not recognising d drive at all. it is not even in device manager
Issue can be related to Hardware as per your description.
I recommend you to try removing and reseating the DVD Drive manually by following the instructions available in the manual of the notebook.
You can download/open the Manual of the notebook from the link below :
Refer to page number 110 of 233 in the manual of the Notebook.
This should solve the issue.
Unfortunately, if the issue persists, you may have to purchase a replacement DVD Drive for your notebook.
