There is green light in the picture when the TV is on

KDF-60XBR950 replaced bulb, but no picture. It DOES have a solid green light when on.

Check the picture settings on the tv, if that is not the problem, then check all of your connections (RGB cables+RW Audio) that is HD component, if you have both HDMI and HD component then try one of them, or it may be a switch in the back of the DVD player or TV

I believe you have lost the green channel leaving only the red and blue. It could be an internal connection like a solder joint or connector, or it could be component failure from the CRT to an adjustment pot. Being the set is ten years old it wouldn't be worth spending a lot of money on it. You can buy a 27 inch TV now for almost what a repair would cost. If the picture was very good before this probem you may try to get it fixed cheap. Otherwise it probably wouldn't be worth it.
My 27 inch TV's (A Sony and a Sharp) are pretty old and I would fix them myself if the picture tube was very good.
This may be a very good time to buy considering the discounts being offered. ;-)).

YOU HAVE 6 ADJUSTMENT BEHIDE THE SPEAKER SCREEN. THERE ARE TWO SCREWS YOU NEED TO REMOVE. ADJUST JUST THE MIDDLE BOTTOM SLOWLY. IT SHOULD CLEAR YOUR PICTURE. IF IT DOES NOT WORK IT MAYBE YOUR GREEN CRT. THIS TV IS GARBAGE. IM TRYING TO GET 100 PEOPLE CALL SONY APRIL 17,2008 AND GTHEN SEND TGHEM A LETTER AND AFTER CONTACT YOU LOCAL MEDIA FOR THIS DEFECT. SONY HAS TO PAY YOU BACK OR REPLACE THIS TV.

is this unit software upgradeable...does it have a USB port on the side?

This may denote a proble in either your switching powers supply or your Horizontal section derived high voltage power supply. These are both very dangerous sections in your television. My next question is important; do you have a background in electronics? If not I would not advise you working on this problem yourself and that you take the TV to a repair shop for servicing. If you do have some background in electronics, I would like for you to make the following obeservations: What was the TV doing (it actions)prior to it going out? Did you hear any sounds before it went out like buzzing or crackling? What do you hear when you try to turn it on now, clicking? turn off the color completely and see it the picture is black and white or has a shade of green,if so your gayscale needs to be adjusted

Hi, I have a Philips 29PT9009/12 TV. Recently I have begun to see horizontal green lines on my tv, when either watching a dvd or watch tv. This has gotten worse and now the green lines are more visible and the background is now turned a shaded green. Please help me. Thanks in advance
