Question about Fisher SW-M750 Speaker

1 Answer

Fisher stm-t750w subwoofer

I bought a used subwoofer that seems to work well. when powered up, it has a green light on the front normally. the other day after awhile of low volume background noise, i noticed the light had changed to red. when i brought the volume back up the light changed to green again. since it's used i didn't get any manuals and was wondering if this is a normal standby mode or should i bother to have it looked at. only paid $35 for it. thanks for the help!

red light is usually bad like protection mode unless it is supposed to be red. amps are always green and red is protection indicator normally. look it up for your amp and if you bought it used you got ripped off

My Edifier M1360 speakers will only work when plugged into the headphone jack and I can't get all three speakers working at the same time. What can I do?

the sub woofer green 1/8 inch plug goes into the audio card either the front or the back of the pc. the jack it plug into is normally the green one. the two speakers normally join together on one card and plug into the subwoofer. also look for a on/off know to the speakers for power. normally on one of the little speakers. make sure it is on.

I bought a power adapter for the camera, but it doesn't seem to work without batteries in the unit. If I use the batteries alone, I will eventually get a red blinking light at the back of the camera,...

Because the camera is what is technically known as 'Portable'and is designed to work purely from the internal battery. the Power Adapter merely charges the internal battery

Hi .. i have just bought a logitech x 530 speaker and only 2 of the speaker parts work .. can you please give me some solution advice?

Hi names Rui i like to help you by giving you step by step instruction in propely hocking up your logitech speakers:

1. Connect the black plug of the rear right speaker into the black plug on the subwoofer.

2. Connect the yellow plug on the rear left speaker into the yellow input on the subwoofer.

3. Connect the red plug of the front center speaker into the red input on the subwoofer.

4. Connect the white plug of the front left speaker into the white input on the subwoofer.

5. Connect the d-sub connector plug from the front right speaker into the d-plug connector on the subwoofer.

6. Connect the green, black and orange input to the matching plugs on your computer. If you have a four-channel sound card, connect the green plug from the input audio cable to the front plug of the card and the black plug to the rear plug. Do not connect the orange input. If you are using a two-channel sound card, connect the green plug from the input audio cable to the "Line Out" jack on the sound card. Do not connect the green and orange plug.

7. Plug the subwoofer power chord into the electrical power outlet.

8. Place your subwoofer on ground around your computer desk. Position the front center speaker on top of your computer monitor.

9. Place the left and right front speakers on the sides of the monitor. Position the left and right rear speakers behind you, making sure they are pointing toward the front left and right speakers.

10. needs to support 5.1 surround. Normally, more than three sockets for sound indicates that it does. Then you need to use the software that comes with the sound hardware to configure it for 5.1 - Default will be 2.1 or just 2.
Check the control panel out. This is a lot easier under Windows 7.- Here you can access what you need via the speaker icon on the system tray (right click)
There is NO problem with your OS or hardware, this is pretty standard...

hope this will help you solve your problem.

I have a sony HTDDW7600, i cannot get the dedicated subwoofer amp to work. The fan is running on it, but for some reason the only way i can get it to do anything is to unplug the cable that goes from the...

You have a very good of the best of SONY..SUB does not get activated automatically especially on STEREO mode.DIRECT STEREO Notes • No sound will be output from the subwoofer.
.your system has Dedicated Power Amplifier for 2 Externally Driven Sub-Woofers (200W RMS x 2) order to activate the sub woofer amplifier you need to make a selection on the surround modes while you are switching the modes of the surround you will see the speaker position on the display of receiver as well..if you do not see the sub woofer it wont be activated..Sound Field Program (A.F.D) is a good example to test it..

Hope this helps!

Additionally please follow the instruction on your user manual to activate the SUB ,as is follows..

Low-frequency (bass) signals can be directed to the
subwoofer and/or the front left and right speakers
according to the characteristics of your system. This
setting also determines the routing of the LFE (low-
frequency effect) signals found in Dolby Digital or DTS
Choices: SWFR (subwoofer), FRONT, BOTH
• Select SWFR if you connect a subwoofer. LFE and
low-frequency signals from other channels are directed
to the subwoofer according to the speaker settings.
• Select FRONT if you do not use a subwoofer. LFE and
low-frequency signals from other channels are directed
to the front speakers according to the speaker settings
(even if you have previously set the front speakers to
• Select BOTH if you connect a subwoofer and you want
to output low-frequency signals from front channels to
both the front speakers and subwoofer. LFE and low-
frequency signals from other channels are also directed
to the subwoofer according to the speaker settings. Use
this function to reinforce low-frequency signals using
the subwoofer when playing back sources such as CDs.

The cooling fins on my Wharfedale SW250 sub woofer are always quite warm, even when I have not used it for a couple of days. Is this Normal?

Sounds like it is on standby all the time. It only powers up fully when detecting an audio signal but will otherwise be in constant low power mode when not used.

USB plug to charge, yellow light not green

t_cosh you must try charging it with the wall-charger, if that doesn't works, try entering BL mode by pressing # and *, and then pull the trigger to turn it on.

It will tell you that battery is low, you can connect then the charger, pull the trigger again, it should start normally.
