Question about NetGear DG834G Router
Hi there, I am quite new to the routers and their configuration. Can any one tells me steps to connect two laptops using Netgear 834G router please? I am using Talk Talk Broadband. I will appreciate if you could help me out on this problem soon.
If its just a router and not a modem router, go into the routers settings and make sure DHCP is enabled to give each pc an automatic IP address and ensure wireless is enabled if using wireless adapters. Next go to the properties of your network card and on the TCP/IP select properties and ensure obtain IP address automatically is ticked. You must also set up using the XP network wizard and ensure file and printer sharing is set up through both pc's.
