I have been in touch with HP support and explained my problem, given advice which unfortunately did not work and now find I cannot reply to their texts as the number is not recognised so I start over again. I bought A G60-100 Laptop PC on 1st December 2008 and have been unable to use E-mail on either Tiscali mail who is my server or windows mail. I have been in touch with Tiscali who narrowed it down to an HP PC problem. I am able to use the internet - just not E-mail. I followed all the instruction sent to me to try to correct the problem and I am extremely disappointed in the fact that the laptop is not working as it should. Chk the drivers for the NIC and try to flash the bios and if you r using a router try on diffrent system or bypass the router and connect the modem directly to the laptop and try to Ping if nothing works try restoring the OS

As far as I can tell this is two errors. One error is that the processor is not plugged in properly. The other is a power supply error.

I suggest taking it to a local computer repair place to have it evaluated. Let them know you believe the power supply is failing which explains the CPU failure.

It could be a graphics driver issue or a uefi problem if its windows 8 from the factory and they are saying unplug it from the wall wait a few minutes plug it back in u can also try using a second monitor as I have had several hp and gateway all in ones with hdmi power issues that turn off the internal display after a few minutes

Touch some wood or put some rubber gloves on. I wouldn't be too concerned about static electricity, just snap it into the slot correctly. If you have rubber soled shoes on, ur grounded..
