Question about Kenmore 62622 Electric Dryer
I turned the dryer on yesterday to find that it automatically stopped on it's own. When I tried to restart it by pushing the control knob, it wouldn't work. We then proceed to remove the top off of the dryer so we could see the underside of the control panel. We assumed maybe some fuses were bad but didn't have time then to really work on it. I came back to the dryer yesterday afternoon and looked again, turned my time dial (which lit up and started ticking) and hit the control knob. It worked. I continued laundry for the next few hours. Late last night after I had loaded my last load, the control knob ceased to stop working again. I thought maybe I should let it cool down but as of this morning...still no luck. I am assuming that it is the control knob that is defective but I have heard that this is rare. I am not sure what to try next. Any suggestions??? Thank you. P.S. I have an Electric Kenmore Dryer. Model # 62931.
Is this the even heat model? if it is you need a new control board on the back of the timer area and might as well buy a couple relays the black ones with 4 wires in them. one is for the pts and the other is a heater relay both are the same part
