search on google for your model, we can't help you if you don't provide us the model, yar and serial number

Keep it unplugged for an extended period of time. It should lose all of it's settings unless its a really new TV.

Offhand am not sure if an RCA remote would work with a Haier television. You could of course still try: 140 191 0000 10748 0001 002 003 004 005 006 085 086 223 323 2000.

An RCA Universal remote with the "code search" feature solved my problem. acheapskate

I found a code for it on auto search 226

It will work with a Total Control TV Replacement Remote Control, which you can get from argos for £7.99.


There are only 2 codes for a haier tv.

Setup Code : 0698
Setup Code : 0264

The GE Universal Remote will do the job. I have on and it works for my Haier TN201AUV TV. You can also find a replacement Haier remote on Remote Hound's web site.

On the other side of this I have a Dish Network remote that WILL NOT work. The Dish Network remote does not list any codes for Haier. Dish Network Tech Support could offer no help.

In an attempt to solve the problem myself, I looked on-line at GE's site listing all of the manufacturers' for their remotes and found the identical code that worked for my Haier TV also listed under APEX TV's. The Dish Remote lists (11) APEX TV codes. Ironically, NONE OF THEM WORK!

I'm stuck with using both remotes... and that's BULL$H!T
