We recently had a power surge and caused an error code 610 on our CopyStar 1505 machine. Is there a way to reset the machine without calling a service tech to fix this. It was on a surge protector.
There is no 610 code ,there is 620&630 which are fuser problems.press and hold down these keys,stop/reset key /start key/copy density key.Press stop/reset keyb again. enter U163,press start."CLE"will display.Press start again to clear.Exit the mode with 001.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. goodluck!

This is a fuser related error. Either the thermostat or thermister is faulty. The error can be rest by pressing and holding down stop, start, left exposure or light. Release the keys and press stop. The display will show U000. Press 163, press Start twice. the machine will initialize.

This is a fixing error. But it can be caused by a power dip aswell.
Try to reset it,if the error presist then there is a problem on the fixing.

set it for exeuteand press ok.
Then the error will be cleared.
Your problem is heat related, or the lack of heating at least. one of 2 things went wrong here... either the fuser unit overheated causing the thermal fuse (aka the thermostat) to blow, or the heating lamp in the fuser unit is blown. Basically the 6000 code is displayed when your machine fails to reach the correct temparature at a specific time. Unfortunately you will have to call a service person to check which to of the mentioned components are at fault and to replace that component for you. After replacing, the component the code will still be displayed as a safety measure, so the service representative will need to clear the code via the machine's service mode
I'm sorry to say that it's probably the death of your 1505! It just might be too expensive to repair, the code A400 relates to the polygon laser motor, which could mean changing the whole laser assembly, or the power source board, either way it's going to cost you. BTW, the 1505 was discontinued in June 2003, what's available today has more features at 1/2 the cost. Happy hunting...
I would like to ask you that I have a kyocera mita copier KM1505 and displays the code error like C610,So try to help me in order to resolve or fixe that problem.
