The generic passkey is four zeros: 0000

Generally, to "pair" your blue tooth headset with your cell phone, make sure your headset is charged up. THen on your phone find the set up to add a bluetooth device. Don't add it yet.

Now on the headset, press and hold the on/off button--it is usually on the top of the device. Hold it until the light comes on--it should flash or have a different color. If that doesn't work, trying holding down the on/off button and the "+" or up volume button at the same time.

Once you have the light or flashing light on the headset, go to the phone and select to add a new device. THe phone will search for the headset. If it finds it, it will ask for the passkey. Type in four zeros - that is: 0000.

Hope this helps you to pair your bluetooth wireless headset with your phone.

Trying to sync with my blackberry 8900 asking for numeric passkey for my plantronic 220 ... dont think I needed this when I had a Motorola Razor.... annoying.... any thoughts.

the passkey is just like a password which is a single time entry into your phone for connecting blue tooth devices in a secured way.
once you enter the passkey the phone will be able to identify and connect to your device each time you search for blue tooth devices in the phone.so please do not get annoyed, go ahead and give a passkey of your own choice(like birth date. so that you wont forget it easily since you wont use it again until you reset the phone or connect other devices).
this passkey can also be used to connect it to laptops, desktops if they have blue tooth.

also remember this passkey is used to restrict any unauthorized access to your phone.!!!
should you have any questions please write to us again.thanks for contacting fixya !

I need help connecting my blue tooth to my phone device

Hello

If you are referring to connecting your pone to your blue tooth device(dongle pluged into your computer?), you activate the blue tooth on your phone, plug the device into youre computer and right click on the blue tooth icon in the bottom right corner which will appear after a few seconds.

Click on ad device, your device will then search for other blue tooth devices.
Your phone must then appear.
double click on your phone, then you will be asked to enter a password. Enter anything and then next.
Your phone should now ask for a password then enter it.

Now the devices are paired.

Now just use the send via Blue Tooth function.

Hope you find this usefull.

Yes, you need the blue tooth driver. The one that comes with your blue tooth "toggle". Although my laptop said "blue tooth compatible" I still needed a toggle. They are fairly cheap to buy and go into a USB port.
