SC-HT75 home theater

When I turn the unit on I get a message F61 which means, I believe, something wrong with the speaker wiring, however all speakers are disconnetcted. Is there a pratical thing I can do, like changing a fuse, to get it working again?

The unit is SA HT740 and I get the F61 message momentary when unit is switched on, but then shuts down again. I did this w/out speakers hooked up. Someone said problem could be because speakers were not hooked up, so I hooked up all speakers and turned the unit on and got the same F61 message but it burned out the center speaker. this is the second time the center speaker burned out.

When I turn on the system, F61 is for 3 seconds on the display and then the power is automatically switcht off.

This error means that the unit is in "protect" mode. An error condition was detected in the final stage of the amp and the unit has shutdown to prevent further damage. This is usually the output amp pac that needs to be replaced. Expect a parts replacement cost in the $75-$90 range.

You might be getting this error because there are no speakers hooked up.

My Panasonic SA-HT75 clicks off seconds after I turn it on. Even got a F61 code.

Open the unit and clean/replace the fan.
If it doesn't turn when you power it on after cleaning it, put some oil on its bearing sleeve.
Never power on this device while speakers are not connected!

Hope this solves your problem!

Unit displays f61 and nothing works What component is related to this

"Check and correct the speaker cord connections. Page 7
If this does not fix the problem, there is a power supply problem. Call 1-800-211-7262 for support."

It's implying you have a shorted speaker wire.

Repeated F61 fault code on Panasonic Home cinema system Model: SC-HT990 Is it the fan in the sub woofer?

Hello

F 61 error means the failure of FAN
most probably dust in the fan made it to stop working so clean the dust and connect the fan to an external supply of 12v(using red and black wire) for 5 minutes and reconnect it to the unit otherwise replace the fan with new one.
Surely this will solve the problem.

Kind regards

F61 code after a speaker wire touched the chassis and sparked

You have shorted the speaker wores and blown the output amp pac. Depending upon the model, the replacement part varies from $75-$95.I don't have a listing for the SC-HT740, but the cost range should be accurate.

Message: f61

This is essentially a "protect" message for these systems. It means that a problem was detected in the final output stage of the amplifier section and the system has shutdown to prevent further damage. This is usually casued by a defective output amp pac (expensive at $85+) or a defective regulator. WIthout seeing the actual machine and taking measurements inside, I can not tell you the exact problem. This unit is probably worth spending a few $$ to get a detailed repair estimate. Armed with that info, we can guide you through the actual repair.

SC-HT75

The output amp pac has a problem. The F61 is indicating that the unit is in protect mode. This is a mode where the output section is shutdown to prevent further damage. Figure on $65-$95 for parts.

speaker cord connector problem:-
remove all speaker connectors and insert it one by one each time until you find the bad one and change its connector with a new one.
(you must play something and listen).if all above does not work you will have problem in power supply and need to fix.

you have a problem with speaker cords:-
1-make marks with tape or any marker pen in all speaker cords(left-right-sub- front-rear).
2-after marking remove all speaker cords.
3-insert them one by one until f61 appear.
4-the cord that connected and make the trouble is bad please change it with new one.
