Eurovox Max V 2008 - needs new firmware flash (27 Nov 2008)

All cable channels except BBC etc scrambled from today. Rebooting makes no difference. Screen keepd searching for new code. At one point it asked for the smart card to be put in? i have same problem not working Same problem. mines a eurovox 1000 sl

Hi , im in dublin have a eurovox max v and a starview "the box".I've lost the same channels on both boxes ,channels now showing insert smart card? still have sports and movie channels,its been about a year since i flashed both boxes .is their a new software or something .im on n** provider.any suggestions ?

Does not work any more only saying scrambled channels how do i get them back on thanks

If you are refering to a cable receiver ( starview/eurovox)
rescan your box, if you dont know how either google your model for a how to guide. or tell me what model you have and i will tell you.
You may be in an area that has changed to the new nagravision 3, if so then its bad news.
There are no workarounds / firmware updates yet, the older boxes will not work again.

Eurovox max v most of the scrambled stations are saying insert smart card i have never had to put a new code in and dont know how to

Smart card is a card that is inserted into the settop box(I believe thats what you are using) so that your subscription is activated and you will be able to watch channels. If the card is already inserted Turn off the set-top box gently pull out the card and re-insert it. If problem persists or you do not have a smart card kindly contact your cable operator so that he can provide you with the same.
