Yes, there is...The legs on the washer are adjustable, the rear legs are often ( not always ) self adjusting, make sure the legs are not stuck and that they can move freely. But the front legs can screw in and out to move the washer depending on the floor the washer is sitting on. Make sure the washer is as low to the floor as possible. When the legs are screwed out too far the washer becomes wobbly. Often on the metal style legs there are lock nuts that can be tightened to secure the legs so they don't move on you. washers where really meant to sit on a cement floor, if your washer is on a wooden floor look carefully at the strength of the floor. If the floor is moving up and down when the washer is running, the floor may not be strong enough to support the washers weight. Most main floor laundry rooms floors are nailed down, the sub-floor is more secure if the sub-floor has been screwed down. Sometimes extra support may have to be added under the flooring to add some strength

My whirlpool wtw4950xw2 top loader washing machine sounds like a jet taking off during spin cycle ... How can I fix it ?

You can unbalance the load more to get a quieter spin, but otherwise you may have a worn out gear system that produces more noise than the spinning tub itself. Check with service to determine the exact cause of the noise.

On the spin cycle, it makes a banging noice, rythmic, about 2 per second....only on the spin cycle... can you help???

The spin cycle is used to rid the water by centrifugal force. As the tub spins, the water iis forced out of the clothes. The banging noise comes from the weight of clothes being on one side making the load unbalanced. The machine will absorb some minor unbalancing. If it gets real loud & the machine starts dancing, shut the machine off by raising the lid, when tub stops, rearrange clothes.

Do you know the button sequence on a WHIRLPOOL CALYPSO which would check the washing, rinsing, spinning and draining cycles quickly? Saw a repair tech do it once.

if you remove the "emblem" from the front of the machine(very front edge of maintop assy.justs prys rigth off) behind it you will find a screw 1/4 inch socket. after removing hte screw the main top will pull foward slightly andthen lift backwards, under there glued to the inside front panle youll find a tech manual with all hte info on all testing procedures, uncliding hte "key dance" to get into different modes"

Whirlpool top Loading washing machine won't spin on spin cycle

If the washer won't finish a spin cycle, it probably means that your timer went bad or stalled. You can take the control panel off and look at the contacts for scorching or corrosion.

After spin cycle washer stops abrubtly causing it to shift.

You have dragging brake shoes. This will cause the motor to draw excessive current. Nedd to take apart and pull down spin tube to access the brake shoes
