Question about Brother HL-2040 Laser Printer
I have a Deskjet935C and a Brother HL-2040 hooked up to my Mac. When I print from my desktop the Deskjet shows up as the only option. It works just fine. When I try to print from the internet or e-mail, I am offered options of the Deskjet and two HL-2040's, the first of which is followed by an exclamation point. When I select either of the two HL-2040s nothing will print. In the past my HL-2040 would come on when I booted my computer every morning. Now I have to physically turn on the switch, but still it does not work. From system preferences I select printers then start-up printers. My printer list shows a Deskjet and two Brothers. Each has a check mark. When I go to selected printer in print dialog I have an option of Deskjet and one Brother.
You can't hook up two HL 2040 with 1PC. It will make your PC crazy and don't know which printer should go for printer.
You must remove 1 HL2040. After that you should be fine.
