SOURCE: Pioneer GM-7200M 800 Watts Mono Amplifier

you Amp is overloading and going into protection mode. if it cuts out with the wire u were using first then their would be no need to upgrade the size of ur wire cause that would only be, doubling or trippling the power u are getting threw those wire now. bottom line the 2 subs u are using are obviously to much for the amp. try dropping the OHM's by connection the subs together and runnig just a single positive and negative to the amp! or just get a better amp

Pioneers web site , does not support it, is it OLD?
yes it is old, 4 channel AMP:

4 to 8 ohms only speakers, x4
the rear has custom power jack connnector
is the pig tail for that lost?
it is older than 2010 for sure, reading blogs etc.
found old sales ad. 1995, so is old old old amp.
before digital books so super super hard to search.
12 pin connector one guy said

"found out the 12 pin plug here's how it is
top AL+ AR+ NC BIN BR+ BL+
BOTTOM AL- AR- GND ACC BR- BR-"
R= right
L=LEFT
my wild guess is gnd is ground abd ACC is 12vdc accessory power

lost this part?

conn + pig tail? the big red is 12v and next to it is ground

How to wire up PIONEER GM 2000

The Pioneer GM-2000 is a two-channel amplifier that is designed to boost the sound output of your car's audio system. Here are the steps to wire up the Pioneer GM-2000:
  1. Disconnect the negative terminal of your car battery to prevent any electrical short-circuit.
  2. Locate a suitable location to mount the amplifier in your vehicle. Ensure that the amplifier is mounted securely and won't interfere with any moving parts in your car.
  3. Run the power cable from the battery to the amplifier location. The power cable should be of sufficient gauge to handle the current draw of the amplifier. Consult the amplifier manual for the recommended gauge of wire.
  4. Connect the power cable to the positive terminal of the amplifier and secure it in place.
  5. Connect the ground wire to a metal surface near the amplifier location. Ensure that the surface is clean and free of rust or paint, and that the wire is securely attached.
  6. Connect the remote wire to the amplifier's remote input. This wire provides a signal to turn the amplifier on and off when the head unit is turned on and off.
  7. Connect the speaker wires to the amplifier's speaker output terminals. Ensure that the positive and negative wires are connected to the correct terminals.
  8. Connect the RCA cables from the head unit to the amplifier's RCA input jacks. These cables transmit the audio signal from the head unit to the amplifier.
  9. Turn the amplifier on and test the audio output from your speakers. Adjust the gain and other settings as necessary to achieve the desired sound quality.
Remember to consult the amplifier manual for the recommended wiring instructions and to ensure that you follow proper safety precautions when handling electrical components. If you are not confident in your abilities, it is recommended to seek professional installation.

I parelled one 15" q power subwoofer to my brideged pioneer amp.The amp got really hot and blew a fuse.How should I wire my dvc subwoofer to the briged amp.

Hello sir, hi, YOU DON'T bridge no more speakers, this upsets the impedance load of the amp. to install another sub-woofer, get another amplifier. You may have damaged your power amplifier, If you experience repeated fuse blows, your power amplifier is now SHORTED. This needs IC amplifier replacement.

Pioneer GM-7300M 800 Watt amp will not power on

This may have a different type of triggered turn on wire. On some of the older Pioneer amps (and maybe some new ones) the trigger wire would SUPPLY B+ TO THE RADIO and when the radio was switched on the amp would sense a current draw on that wire and would then switch on. Unlike most common amps which sense the presence of B+ on the trigger wire supplied by the radio and then turn on. Look in your owners manual to see kind of turn on system you have. If you don't have an owners manual then perhaps you can download one from Pioneer support. good luck
