Using your web browser, go to the address "192.168.1.1", and login to your router setup. Typically (with Netgear), the login is "admin", and so is the password (or it is left blank). Under setup, go to "Wireless Settings", and at the bottom you will see "Security Options" (WEP, etc). This is where you set your passphrase, so set it to something you can remember (it should also show you the current one, too). That is the WEP password you'll need for your Mac and Ipod. Save your settings and exit.

Cheers
Nick

Magic Jack Plus worked in USB and then Internet on computer stopped working

It's got the wrong gateway setting. Without a gateway (router) to the Internet it can only see local network stuff. I suspect the Magic Jack is still trying to be the gateway but it has no Internet. Stop Magic Jack doing this and it should work.

I have a wireless Belkin N router and I have no idea how to hook it up without install CD. I have used it before but I want to wipe it clean and start over. I have an iMac just bought.

To reset the Belkin back to the defaultsettings -
Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router and thenpower for at least 15 secs. Then release the RESET button.
Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open abrowser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter)You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop withthe router's wireless settings. To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Worked fine up till yesterday now wireless wont work

The wireless cards in the computers need to be configured with the router's wireless settings so the computers can connect to the wireless router.
Resetting the wireless router back to the factory defaults will not let the computers connect to the wireless router without configuring the network card in the computers with the router's wireless settings.
I suggest you configure your wireless router with encryption settings to prevent unauthorized persons accessing your wireless network and Internet connection and your computers.

Why can't I connect my iMac to my Dlink DIR-615 wireless router?

That is a older wifi access point and maybe the N is not compatible for your imac. I would get a dual band 2.4/5Mhz wifi Access Point.

Trying to fix router but when i put 192.168.0.1 in address bar !!!!! Unable to connect message always comes up So i cannot reset !!!! Having problem connecting to my wireless ipod blue ray @phone while at...

Are you using LAN? You can only access Administration if you reset the device through LAN (pressing reset button). You cannot access Admin config after reset through wireless... If your already using LAN, try turning your firewall off. And oh, your LAN should be plugged in to one of the LAN ports and not in the WAN port...

Lost signal on acer aspire 6530 lap top, dont know if my daughter has pressed a wrong button or switch ?

There is a little satellite icon next to the always blue (when turned on) skip to next (song) and stop (square) touch buttons. Put your finger on the satellite icon for a few seconds, then move off, a green message should come up on the bottom of your screen saying "Wireless LAN enabled", if it says "Wireless LAN disabled" then there is another problem with your connection.
When the wireless is enabled check that you're connected to the wireless network. Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center (in Vista) you should be able to see:
"Access Local and Internet"

If it's not connected to the internet try resetting your wireless router, if that doesn't work, check you have the correct network password. Right click the two little PC screens (icon) in the bottom left, in the new window right-click your network and go to properties. In the new window, "Security" tab check the settings and type in the correct network security key (password) again. Hopefully you will have a record fo the network security key or your problem will have already been fixed before you get to this point. :)

How do I reset and/or restore my iPod?
An explanation of the steps for fixing common problems with an iPod.
When someone has a problem with their iPod, people mostly tell them "Reset it!" or "You need to restore it." Here's how to do that.
1. Reset an iPod:
Toggle the Hold switch to on, then back to off (none of the red is showing).
Press and hold down the Menu and Select buttons (as shown in the picture) for 6-10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
For many problems, you may have to do this several times. The iPod may be hung up on several things so you have to tell it: "Reset that. Now reset this. Yes, reset that too" and etc.
2. Restore an iPod:
Warning: When you restore and iPod, you delete everything on it (songs, pictures, movies, files, games, firmware, etc.) Hey! That means any stuff that's on the iPod, but not in the iTunes library, will be lost. After deleting everything, iTunes reloads the iPod software with a fresh copy (referred to as "factory settings").
Using iTunes:
When the iPod is connected, select it in the Source list in iTunes. Under the Summary tab, there is a button named "Restore." Click it. Select the restore option you want then sit back. A progress bar will show you the status of the restore. When it's done, you'll see a message like "Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore." Now the iPod will show a progress bar. Do not disconnect during this part. When it's done, the iTunes Setup Assistant will prompt you to name and configure the iPod.
