I just got an epc 7" notebook cant get wi fi on, was on last night also cant connect to internet help

On many laptop/netbooks there is a quick switch to turn wifi on/off. On the eeePC, I believe you press FN+F2 to toggle wifi on/off. Try this, and if it doesn't work, I would take it back to the store where you bought it from as it will still be under warranty and support.

My daughter was working on her laptop last night and she said it wasnt working right so she shut it off and when she turned it back on the screen was black - I tried the f2 key last night trying to get it...

CPU more than likely went bad because of overheat. Its not worth fixing unless you KNOW you can do it yourself Laptops are a nightmare to work on
Just a suggestion but laptops are for people who MUST carry their PCs around. The do not have a long lifespan. Desktops are much more durable

I left it on last night. This morning it was off

check your power cord to insure that you are getting power. make sure power cord is plug in the back.
look in back of computer. you will see a little orange switch. it says 115/220 click to 220. boot computer.
if computer boots up turn off and click back over to 115.
if it does not boot your power supply in your computer needs replacement.

I turned off my computer last night and now it won't turn on.

try taking the battery out and turn it on, if it comes on you have a bad battery, If this does not result, take the battery out and un-plug the power supply from the laptop and from the wall. wait 30 seconds and plug the power suppy back in and give it a try.

Replacing laptop LCD inverter board is quite a job but this is what you need to do if it is under warranty Have HP do this.

If it isn't warrantied, you can buy these off of ebay for 9 dollars that's what I had to do it worked for me. Good Luck

My toshiba satellite p200-140 laptop will not start up. the power button lights up but nothing else happens. it was working fine last night

My laptop had a similar problem. I left my laptop running and some time later when I went back to my laptop, it would not startup. The power light seemed to be on but the laptop would not function. I tried several things like pressing on the power key for some time without any success and also tried all sorts of alternate buttons and sequences.

I resolved the problem by first disconnecting the power cord then by removing the battery for 5 minutes. I then re-installed the battery then connected the power adapter.

As soon as I turned the power button 'ON', the laptop booted up again.

Hope this works out for you.

Regards,
Rick

I can not turn my computer, laptop, on. I turned it off last night. It received uploads on Windows XP. this morning it will not power up. The battery lights are on, no fan, no blinking hard drive, and it...

the updates may not have anything to do with the issue. Unplug it and remove the battery for several minutes Plug it all back in and try again.
