Header date problem

I have been using version 3.0 of Teacher's Toolbox for several years. Although I enter the correct year for each of my classes, whenever I print out anything, the header indicates that the year is 2012. How can I change this? Thank you.

Re: Header date problem

You may want to check for viruses. While it might be a software problem, driver problem or a hardware memory issue...It sounds like it may be a virus. If not try and check the Able Soft site for any program patches. Is you computer time set properly? Just checking... Good Luck, Tim p.s. 2012 has certain meanings to certain people.

Enter transactions for closed financial year

Do a backup before you try this.

Go to File - Start a New Year - Start a New Financial Year. Continue through the next few screens until you see the Current financial year and a box showing the New Financial Year. Say your current financial year is 2013 and the New Financial Year shows as 2014. Change this to 2012 and then continue through the screens til the end. Then check your financial year under Setup - Company Information, you will find it now shows 2012. Enter the transactions you need, then go through the process again to change to 2013.

This is an undocumented feature un-supported by MYOB. Try with caution - not aware of any serious consequences but a few I know have done this.

Changing your system date and opening MYOB is a sure fire way to get locked out. MYOB records the date each time you open it. If the date goes backwards, it locks you out. Part of their protection.

How to create book type header in docx file means double header, one for tile which must be apply for whole doc. while other tiltle may change after few nuber of pages

this will set the head on every page till you remove it.

On the View menu, click Header and Footer to open the header or footer (header and footer: A header, which can consist of text or graphics, appears at the top of every page in a section. A footer appears at the bottom of every page. Headers and footers often contain page numbers, chapter titles, dates, and author names.) area on a page.
  1. To create a header, enter text or graphics in the header area.
  2. To create a footer, click Switch Between Header and Footer on the Header and Footer toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, press ALT and then SHIFT+F10.) to move to the footer area, and then enter text or graphics.
  3. If necessary, format text by using buttons on the Formatting toolbar.
  4. When you finish, click Close on the Header and Footer toolbar.

Transforming birthdates into year codes

Here is a solution that might work for you. Please be mindful that there are several different solutions that will achieve the same thing in Excel (I am assuming Excel is your software).

1) Make sure each column in your spreadsheet has a heading.

2) Highlight (select) the column of birthdays.

3) Choose Format from the menu bar.

4) Choose Cells... from the drop-down menu.

5) For the "category", choose Custom.

6) In the "type" box, type yyyy

7) Click OK and when you return to your spreadsheet, you will see only the years displayed. However, when you try to edit a cell, you will see that the entire birth date is stored and preserved.

8) Now, highlight the entire table

9) Then, choose Data from the menu bar

10) Choose Subtotals... from the drop-down menu

11) In the "At each change in" box, choose the name of the column with the birth dates

12) In the "Use function" box, choose Count

13) Leave all other choices at their defaults

14) Click OK, and you are done.

Using this method, you can continue to enter the data as you always have. In that way, the birth date info is never actually destroyed or converted. What you are doing is simply deciding what is displayed.

I hope this helps.

Would like to stop header from printingon all pages of a document

I don't use WordPro, but maybe the same fix from Word could help. If the program has whats called section breaks, try inserting a section break in the document where you want the header to stop, then insert a header and see if there is an option to apply the header just to that section.

Need to Add Dates in Excel

Here is one way I just tried:

Say the date purchased is in A1.

You want the Est Life in A2.

In A2 type: =A1+(3*365)
That will add 3 years.

For 5 years: =A1+(5*365)

Try it out!

Note: You will need to format the cells to Custom>mm/dd/yyyy
