You may have filled up your SD (memory card) although it should have displayed a message about that or may indeed be doing so. Check the display icons with the list of what they are and mean in your instruction manual.
Hi, It is known problem of ccd imager chip failure in Canon A85 camera and ccd imager chip will be replaced by local camera repair shop to solve this issue. Since camera wont show live view/ blank screen so same gets saved as picture in memory card that is why no picture/ image in playback either. Hope these info will help you. Thanks.
Are you formatting the card in the camera as you're supposed to? Have you tried going into the menu and finding "reset" and followed the on-screen instructions? Do you have photos on the internal memory? If so, remove your card and format the camera to erase the memory.
my camera just did that to me yesterday..i had t for like a week.. did u have a warranty on it or something like that??
i have to take mine back to the place were i got it and go talk to them about it..
my screen is like shot or something..
The scren is just displaying the input from the CCD (Digital Sensor that actually takes the
picture).. If The pictures were fine, but the screen was funky if you could live with it then there wouldn't be a problem.
Since it's on both the screen AND on your photos it points to there
being a fault with the CCD
Given the age of the camera, the cost of a repair I'm afraid it's time for a new camera. there's nothing you can do to fix this yourself.
Sorry for being the bearer of bad tidings.
If my advice was at least helpful please vote for me!
A bit more explanation please Stevie
Is the Screen really blank[black] or can you see shadow images.
Is it White blank?
And can you still take pictures even when the screen is in this state.
