I got a car with the Pioneer Carrozzeria AVIC HRZ88 installed however it's in Japanese. Anybody have the instruction manual or know how I can change the unit's language to English. Thanks.

I have found it looks just like the AVIC HD1BT and the menus look similar, but at least in English. Check out the install/user/quicksetup manuals here: http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/support/manuals/AVIC-HD1BT/page.html
Might even be able to update the software, if you are prepared to do so at your own risk!

AVIC-N1 Mechanism Error ON PIONEER CAR UNIT IS DISPLAYED ON THE SCREEN, IT WILL NOT EJECT A DISC. THIS OCCURRED AFTER THE BATTERY ON THE CAR RAN DOWN AND THEN THE CD DVD PLAYER WOULD NOT WORK PROPERLY.

If the battery was recharged by someone who accidenly reversed the leads then it can kill a radio, usually blows radio fuse first tho. Im affraid the unit needs repair from what youre saying.

Pioneer AVIC-n1 touch screen display failure

when those screens go out you are better of replacing the unit. they cost more to repair then buying a new one. also with pioneer they seem to only last 5 to 6 yrs. so if yours is a 2004 then it is about time for it to start to have problems and time to buy a knew. it seems with pioneer they only lasts 6 yrs max and then you have to replace them but other brands like solny they last a lot longer.

I have a kenwood deck and it locked i can not use it it is a kdc-mpv6022

Good Day,

KENWOOD SECURITY CODE CLEAR procedure

These codes are applicable for all Kenwood radios that do not have DVD or DVD screens located on unit.

Your radio will require one of the following procedures.

Type 1
During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds

(so that “…” disappears).
Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 2
Press the "Auto" button and "Track up" on face of radio at the same time. The four dash lines ( . . . . ) should "disappear".

Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 3
Model# DPX-4020 and DPX-4030
Press and hold the 1 then the 6 preset key (preset keys are the buttons on face of radio for storing you "favorite" radio

stations). "C" should display.
Then using your remote, enter your code.

Enter your number from the remote control unit. Your code number is 5227 (KCAR)

* Press numeric key “5” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key on the remote
* Press numeric key “2” ( 3 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key on the remote
* Press numeric key “2” ( 1 time ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key on the remote
* Press numeric key “7” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key on the remote

The security is canceled and the set enters the TUNER mode!

Also try:

press reset use remote right after it loads press 552222777 then track forward do this with the remote open so you can use the numbers and make sure its in the audio mode the little switch on the side. prerty simple p.s. nothing will happen on the screen so dont stop pressing the code and press track forward you can now set the code to what ever 4 dig code you want in the set up screen
