Shut off the water, disconnect the supply line at the fridge. Look for dirt dibri etc.

Has the water been shut off to the home or up the street recenlty?
This often times loosens sediment and it gets trapped in your plumbing devices.

Ice and water tastes funny after I installed a rubber water hose

Discard the first few batches of ice made by the ice maker. If new plumbingconnections are installed, discard the first few batches of ice. The plumbingsystem is flushing and may cause a bad taste or odd color. Discard ice stored in the bin for long periods of time. Wash the ice binwith warm water and mild dish detergent. Dry thoroughly before replacing thebin. Place foods in airtight containers to prevent the transfer of odors. Thanks and hope it's helpful.

I have cold water but the ice maker is not working, there is no water in the ice maker

The refrig has 2 coils on 1 valve . 1 coil is for water dispensor and the other is for the ice maker . You need to replace the water valve behind the refrig . This is the piece that the wall water line connects to on the refrig .

Ice maKer is not getting water but the water side works.

Your refrig water valve , has 2 coils on one valve . One is for the water dispensor , and one is for the ice maker . So even if you get water thru the dispensor , the other coil ( for the ice maker ) could be bad . The fill tube from inside the freezer to the ice maker , could be frozen solid , keeping the water from entering the ice maker . This frozen tube , would be caused be the water valve " seeping " , which means , it isn't closing completely , and drips freezing inside the tube . indicating a bad water valve . Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If it dumps , but doesn't refill with water , replace the water valve but also check this tube . If the ice maker does not dump the frozen cubes , replace the ice maker , but also check the coils under the refrig , for dust , lint , etc , needing to be cleaned off . The ice maker needs to be 5 degrees to operate , and dirty coils can keep the freezer at 6 degrees or above .

Admiral HMG 62163 water leaking internally & freezing in lower basket

good attempt, its actually a clogged drain thats backing up and your drain water is not able to leave refrig so it falls to bottom of freezer floor and eventually out the door. romve the items from the freezer and take the lower back wall off form inside, directly under the evaporator under all that ice there is a drain hole, youll need to clear that hole of iec( pouring boiling water down until you get a free flow of water then you can reassemble uint problem solved

Have an LG LFX25960TT refrigerator with in door ice maker. The ice maker only makes 2 to 3 ice cubes at a time. (Too slow for my family's needs.) It appears like it doesn't get enough time to fill. Is...

Check to make sure the water supply to the refrig is good and the inlet screen where the water line connects to the refrig is clean. You can change the amount of water fill by pressing the button on the left side of the ice maker. (indicator lights above button show setting) Selecting "Ice Plus" on front of dispenser panel increases ice production for a 24 hour period. Ice maker should produce 6 cubes per cycle, aprox.. 100 to 130 cubes in 24 hours depending on freezer compartment temp, room temp, number of door openings, etc.
