Try to start computer in safe mode, usually can be done by pressing F8 during the startup. From safe mode, you can check event viewer and see what kind of errors there are under system.

I Turn on my Dell Latitude D600, goes to desktop, no icons appear in the bottom right corner, then freezes and all of the desktop icons disappear and all that is visible is the wallpaper. What do I do?

Restart the Computer and when the Computer is Turned Off and trying to Come back On keep on tapping the F8 Button on the Keyboard, till you get the Advanced Boot Options. On the Advanced Boot Options select the Option which says Safe Mode and Press Enter. Let Me know If you face the same Kind Off Situation even in the Safe Mode!
Good Luck!!!!

I have a black screen that says safe mode, safe mode with networkin , safe mode with command prompt and laast known good configuration but when i go to safe mode my computer just reboot all over again

This recycling/rebooting into this screen is normally caused an error (hardware or software).
You MUST turn off - Automatic Restart to see the error message.
Power down your laptop.
Press the power button to turn-on laptop.
Start pressing the F8 key immediately AFTER the DELL logo screen and BEFORE the windows screen.
You SHOULD be brought to the same screen as you described above but with an additional option: TURN-OFF automatic restart. Select this option and press ENTER.
Let laptop cycle and you should see blue background screen with white letters giving you information.

Please provide the ERROR message on screen BEFORE we can advise you any further.

Where on earth is the `Enter` key on the `Latitude D600` keyboard.......... I`m trying to get it started in `Safe Mode`....???

Hello.

The "Enter" key should be on the right side of the keyboard, with a "bent" arrow, above the right Shift key.

But, to access Safe Mode, boot your computer and press the F8 key repeatedly.

Hope this helps.

Hp laptops

The computer might have a virus that causes this problem, try to use safe mode by pressing F8 when you turn on computer. On the advanced boot option, select safe mode then press enter. If you are able to log on to windows without a problem then start to back up your files. Perform windows reinstallation.

My dell d600 wont let me logon on to my account.

For Dell password reset, you can use Windows Password Rescuer to help reset password easily. It can help reset Windows 8/7/Vista/XP/2008/2003/2000 administrator password quickly without logon.

You also can use Password Recovery Bundle 2012 to reset it.This Tool can recover password for Windows, Word, Excel, RAR etc.

Dell d600 Wont boot up

If a computer wil only boot in safe mode that mean that it has either a hardware or software problem.  If you cannot run the antivirus, I would first try to  "restore" the windows to an earlier date. You can do that using Safe Mode. I personally would go back to the earliest date that I could, at least before the problem started. If that does not work,Ii would attempt to reinstall windows using either the windows disk or the backup cd. If you have not the cd  you can usualy obtain it from Dell..
