I can not enter a number or get a number from address book, then hit the GREEN send button to make a call out. Nor can I adjust the ringer volume.
I can call out say when I receive a voice mail and I have the option to select "call or exit". So the phone will call out and receive calls.
I have made sure all is unlocked.
The problem appears to be an issue with the Green send button and ringer adjustments. I turned the phone off then boarded a flight. After flight I powered up and the problem began. Hope you can help.

Hmmm, look like you need a PDS repair. Let me know what software you have on your phone b4 i carry on.

Tap the "Emergency Call" button, then enter three pound signs, hit the green Call button and immediately press the Lock button. That simple procedure gives a snoop full access to the Phone app on the iPhone, which contains the address book, voicemail and call history.
If you have entered two numbers under a single contact then you go to the phone-book--search for the contact--click on the name (and not the green calling button,other wise you'll end up calling the same no.that is fed as default or it's the first no. or it's the mobile no.)--you'll see both the nos.and against them you'll see the green calling buttons--call whichever you like. you have 2 options. you can load them directly in your "address book" by going into your address book, menu button (bb icon left of trackball), select "New Address" and enter the info. Option 2 , would be going into your address book, select "SIM phone book" and enter the info there. Keep in mind, when you use the SIM phone book option, you can only enter their name and phone number, and after you are done, you have to import your SIM contacts to your address book. Any contacts saved using the SIM option, will stay on your SIM card. Any contacts using the Address Book option, will only remain on the phone, and not on your sim card. ho[pe this helps!
using your touch screen, go to tools> my data> set home location> you can use your current position or you can enter it. then it will be save as a home address
Update w/ new number: Go to Address Book, begin typing name, scroll to contact and select, with contact showing press the Blackberry button and choose "Edit".
Backlighting adjustment: Options>>Screen/Keyboard>> adjust the brightness setting (listed in % 10-100). Then press the back button and Save your settings when prompted
Short call history available by pressing the green phone key.
I have just purchased this phone, and was trying to figure it out myself. I have successfully sent a pic to my email by doing the following:
First, I set up my phone book with both my phone number and my email by going to phone book and then "New Entry" There is a place for both phone number and Email there.
Next, I went to "Multimedia" ( that's the little Icon that looks like a film strip). then "pictures" while viewing the pic I wanted to send, I pushed the center button and from the resulting menu, I selected "send in message". Then "OK". from the resulting menu, I selected the phone book entry that I set up for myself and that had a little envelope next to it. [or, you might choose "new entry" if you have not already put the email addy into your phone book. choosing "one time entry" did not appear to offer this option.]Then i selected "add" and then "Send" In the next screen there is a form where you can enter stuff like "subject line, or CC and BCC, similar to a email you might send from a 'puter. Then I hit "send" again, and my e-mail started to send. It used up 2.5 minutes to send,and it was 16.39KB.
It arrived in my inbox from "[my phone number]@mms.att.net" And had compressed to 12.3KB.
This really should be in the manual though, I had to play with it a lot to figure this out. figure it out.
To save contacts on a z310a that has a broken
screen, do the following: 1.From standby, (make sure the backlight is
lit up) press the center button once 2. Press down once to go to
address book 3. Press center button to enter address book 4. Press
RIGHT select button (upper right button with line through it) to select
options. 5. Press down FIVE (5) times to go to Advanced 6. Press center
button to go into Advanced 7. Press down FIVE (5) times to go to Copy
To SmartChip 8. Press LEFT select button to enter 9. Press LEFT select
button to select "Copy All" 10. Press LEFT select button to confirm.
Wait a couple of minutes to make sure all your contacts were
transferred.
go to - menu-> settings-> application settings-> call-> all calls-> auto reject-> (scroll one down) reject list-> [on the reject list uncheck number you wish to remove from the reject list. ]
