Hi,
If you have formatted your computer then the problem might be because the drivers for sound are not yet installed.
Please install the sound drivers and that should take care of the issue.
Right click on "My computer" --> Properties --> Hardware tab --> Device Manager
Under device manager, check the sound devices.. there might be a red cross (X) or Question mark (?) or a exclamation mark (!) indicating problem with the drivers .. just right click on the device and select update drivers and that should take care of it or if you have a sound driver CD/DVD, insert the same in the optical drive and install.
A window will apear for you where you be asked toi select OS, select XP as your os.
Now you will see all avalible drivers for your Asus, download and install all the drivers you need and want
goto control panel switch to classic view , double click add remove programs , then when the list comes up look for service pack2 and remove , then restart computer
go to the support site for your motherboard, there you will get universal bus architecture device drive. Install this before you install the Audio/Sound driver.
NO SOUND IN MY PC WHY?
