Thats ok my family is that same. you have to plug the video cords ( yellow white red ) into the output of the dvd vcr combo ( i think it says vcr output) then connect the ( yellow white and red ) video cord into the input your televition. the input may be at the back or front or both.

It looks better and cleaner if you plug it into the back ones. It should say input and be ( yellow white red ) colours. once you have connected them both up to eachother you turn the power on (if you left it on dont worry its fine) and tuen the vcr on and tv on at the power buttons.

Then turn the tv on to av1 or video what ever your tv calls it. put a vhs or dvd in and press play and it should work.

Thanks for asking if you have any other problems i am happy to help please dont hesitate to ask

Sanyo tv model ds27930 not supporting my ps3

Whatever input you are using is either damaged or the tv is on the wrong channel and I'm sure you don't have it set on the wrong channel.

1. Another method would be to connect an old VCR to the TV through the cable plug on the back of the TV.

2. Then plug your PS3 or dvd player into the VCR's rca inputs on the back.

This works but your television has to have a cable plug on the back.

There's a colored bar on the rightside edge of the screen. Unit's a 32" samsung. Could anyone help me out please and tell me what the problem might be? And the solution as well? Thanks a lot!

it may be whatever device is outputting that image to the tv, cable box, dvd player, satellite box and so on... That would be the first thing to check.
1:) do you have cable?2:) Do you use a digital cable box with this tv?
3:) if you do have a digital cable box then plug in your dvd player and see if it has the color defect-Make sure you use an input other than the same one you use for cable tv- Does your dvd play image have the color defect?
4:) if you still have the defect after trying the dvd player or other av/hdmi output devices (game systems etc.) then this means its your tv.
5:) what you do now depends on your time, money, interest, and emotional attachment to the set.
A: use it as is--FreeYou can use the set as is if you can get pass the defect (obviously you can't)
B:replace the electrical components that are failing--Free-120$Figure out exactly whats wrong with it, I can help if you really care to know how. Find the parts for cheap on ebay and by buying other damage sets or getting parts from other electronics and replacing them yourself.
C:donate or trash the unit--FreeGive it aways to someone
D:have the unit repaired--50$ plus take it to lacal tv shop
Turn it off, unplug it for about 10 minutes back on if its still there lightly tap the side to see if the defect flickers if so then the board is being stressed if not then you know your options--Good Luck.

I got this T.V as a gift and the DVD player stop working. So I got DVD/VHS player for it and now I don't know how to plug it in please help. All I am getting is sound and no images.I don't know what to do!...

Just connect the set of 3 round colored connectors on the back of the tv (Red, White and Yellow) with the same colored connectors from the back of the player - use a same colored 3-wire cable.

T.V. shuts off when I try to play a DVD in the built-in player

Try putting in a VCR tape let it load and hit stop. If the set stays on it's the VCR deck causing the problem. It will be either be bad sensors or LED or possibly the mode switch. Let me know if this helps.

Hookup Issues

You have an older monaural set. Most sets are stereo. The red and white cables are for left and right. There really is no "converter" other than to get an RF converter to run your DVD through channel 3 or 4.

Connecting dvd/vcr combo with tv and digital cable box.

You trying to put the DVD/VCR combo between the cable box and the TV? OK, cable out goes to vcr in, vcr out goes to tv, I think you got that. Now there should be a tv/vcr button on the vcr/dvd, you need to press that when the unit is on. Also, make sure you are on the correct input on both the vcr and the tv, usually video 1 or AUX and choose line in or L1 on the vcr/dvd. If the tv/vcr button is toggled, itll completely bypass the vcr/dvd player.
