That being said, I think your problem is worse. You will need to create a boot CD, in all likelihood, and install new drivers from there.

Under the hood on the driver side on the firewall there is the main wire harness it has a rubber boot over the plug. Take the tape off from it and pull the rubber boot back look at the bottom left wire should be red and be a pretty good size wire. That wire will get acid on it just like the battery and sometimes mess the hold plug up. Depending if your truck has power windows or any other etc. there are up to 60 wire on that plug. I had to get another plug and rewire all 60 wires on mine since the acid damaged my plug Dodge has this problem on all trucks from 88 to 00

Try booting into safe mode by pressing F8 at startup until the boot menu appears. Then select "safe mode with networking". If it boots into safe mode then see if your missing some drivers in device manager. If you are then download and install them. Next run some anti-virus and anti-malware programs to make sure your system is clean.

What do you mean by installing driver after format?
Format is a command that destroy all the data on your harddisk and creates new file system. This means that if you have formated your harddisk it is more or less probable that you don't have operating system anymore, so there is nothing to boot.

Did you install the driver correctly?

Before your install the video driver you have downloaded on HP site, first you must un-install the previous driver installed, restart your machine (to clean it up - video driver), boot up your machine then install the video driver.

You must extract the file the you have downloaded from the HP site (make sure to remember the location where it save). Look for the file, run the setup or ".exe" file to install it.

if it,s just a file your missing, you should be able to download from Hewlett Packards Download Site.

If it,s a complete restoration CD you need:-

You can setup the Computer with Windows XP Or Vista. Then look at what drivers are missing Or not installed. then download from Manufacturers website. Install and re-boot Computer.

Your Product is not listed.
You got to Report with the HP and they Will update you once they have a Driver for you,
However what you can do is try and run BIOS update if Possible.(it may not be Possible in a Boot issue though).

you may want to try booting up from xp or recovery disk and select "R" to repair.
