Speakers don't require drivers. Only your sound card. Connect as instructed. Usually the green 3.5mm port is the speaker input.

Set up audio mixer with PC

You must connect:
the main out of the 1202fx, or the ctrl room out of the 1202fx at your power amplifier's input (if there is one)
the line in 11/12 of the 1202fx at your pc's audio card line out. (for playing back)
the cd/tape out of the 1202fx at your pc's audio card line out. (for recording)
in case of a cd, connect it's line out at line in 5/6 (or 7/8, or 9/10) of 1202fx's
some mic at the mic 1 (or 2 or 3 or 4) of 1202fx.
That's the way you're going to have control for:
the mic level from channel 1 (etc).
cd level from channel 5/6 (etc).
pc playback from channel 11/12.
master speakers from main mix or ctrl room.
All the above connections are not absolute and may vary depending on your needs.

Sounds like you just need to enable all the channels in your sound control panel. In Vista this can be done by right click on the speaker icon and going to the properties of your sound card. If you have software installed specific to your sound card go into that software and there will definitely be a setting / question regarding how many speakers you are using. By default it will only use the green channel.

I bought a creative (inspire M4500) 4.1 speaker system. but only 2 speakers work at a time.. do i need a 4 channel sound card. which one will be compatible with compaq presario V6000 laptops.

Obviously you require a 4.1 system audio/sound card for the best sound output since it has inbuilt amplifier and OS specific driver(latest) which you should get along with the sound card. If you are using, check compaitibility issues to with Vista....................sodeep

I have a creative inspire 5.1home theater i need 5.1 songs

5.1 plays surround sound tracks when available, when playing an audio track that was recorded in stereo (2 channel) it should only emit from the front left and right speaker, and when playing a movie in 5.1 at points in the audio track all five speakers should emit sound. Is this the case?
