It supports all 8x AGP cards. The 16x stuff are not supported.

No. Your board can support any AGP video card.
But it does not support any PCI-E cards.

What Graphics AGP Card could I buy to improve my system? thanks Graham

Click here for full specification list for ASUS P4P800SE Motherboard.
Click here for Supported Graphics cards, remember when you go though the graphics cards remember its only those of AGP8X and 4X
If you can go for a Geforce 6600Gt AGP8X you will then be able to do some gaming at 1024X768 pixels, play Call of Duty 4 at low settings. Good considering that Call of Duty 4 is a new game.

It shows that any AGP 8X or 4X card is supported also look at the picture attatched, I circled supported Graphic Cards in RED!!! I recomend purchasing a AGP8X card. 128mb at least.

Please remember to rate my expertise, thumbs up.
Thanks

I have p4p800 se 2.6 ht cpu I recently bought 2-1gig sticks of ddr400 pc3200 cl3 hp memory and tried everything I could think of wont boot can anyone help

Asus gives this as the board memory spec:

-4 x 184-pin DIMM Sockets support max. 4GB DDR400/333/266 non-ECC DDR SDRAM memory

I suspect you bought DDR2 type memory.

You will need an AGP8X video card.

Hi would my nvidia graphic card work on a pentium 4

Graphic Cards work when the card and the slot types match. Common slot types for Graphics cards are PCI,  AGP, PCIe1 and PCIe16. If your NVIDA (chipset name) card is the same type as the slot on your board the answer is yes. If it fits the slot, it will work.

Is AGP slot acepting PCI express card?

Yes, your motherboard actually does contain an AGP 8x VGA interface. (ASUS reference is at http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=12&l3=31&model=179&modelmenu=1 AND http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=12&l3=31&model=179&modelmenu=2.) This means that the video card you replace the All in Wonder with must meet that specification unless you are prepared to switch out the board.

However, as the card you have indicated above is a PCIE x16 card, that may represent additional compatibility options. (The reference for this card is here: http://ati.amd.com/products/radeonx1300/aiw2006pcie/specs.html). This is a bit confusing, given that the motherboard specs indicate an AGP 8x interface. There is the indication on the "modelmenu=2" page that the MB includes 5 PCI expansion slots, but there is no mention of any PCIE x16 interface.

It is often best to return to the site of the manufacturer, or a respected seller, to check for compatibility with the specific brand and model of your PC. This would likely be the best approach, and if you would like for me to help with that, please post back with the information.

If this information assists you in resolving the problem, please take a moment to rate the solution at a "FixYa" level. If you do not feel that you can rate at a "FixYa", please post back with more information regarding what has occurred subsequently and/or more details regarding the situation, and I will gladly help you until we have reached a definitive solution. Thank you for using and rating FixYa!
