When receiving messages, contacts number comes up but no name,so dont know whos sent the txt unless i go through my whole phone book looking for the number to work out who sent it.looking in the inbox only shows+64555 ect,but no peoples names???? please help!
And also how do i put my music files on my pc to my phone,by using windows xp media player?Help would be great, the manual didnt really say much!Cool phone but!
You have a manual for the phone? good for you. mine didn't come with any manual. anyway, to fix your first problem you have to add your country code number to the numbers in your contacts list. If you are in the US that will be "1". To transfer your music files, you have to find the location of your files in your hard drive and then copy that to the "Music" folder in your phone's drive. To find the location of a particular song in windows xp media player, right-click on the song and click on "Open file location". Goodluck with your phone. I'm loving mine, except the fact that i can't watch tv on it after they convert to digital...oh well.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. goodluck!

Hi, the problem you are having could be one of several problems, now the 1st and most likely is a memory problem, if you have low memory your phone cant store the out going message so it dont let you send it. so go through your phone and delete these inbox/outbox/sent/drafts/ basically go through your messages and delete all the ones you dont need, most phones store every out going message so this then keeps building up in either outbox or sent messages so make sure you delete all these and then give your phone a try and you should find it will now let you send a message.
now the other problem you might have is with your message center number, this may have got mest up so if deleting messages dont solve your problem then i would say this number is wrong and all you need to do to solve this problem is call your service provider and tell them your having problems sending messages and you think the problem is with the message center number so ask them to send you the latest settings, they will send you these via txt message and this will then update your phone to the correct settings your service provider wont charge you for this service so give them a call and then this should sort it out for you
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
please can you rate this post as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
My LG Rumor won't accept any text messages if my inbox is full. Try deleting all of your messages. Then you can turn your phone on "Auto Delete" so it will automaticly delete some messages if your inbox becomes full.
try entering the (+) plus sign and the country code then the mobile number / editing the numbers of your contacts. such as, a mobile number alone (depending on the sim) that reads as 09178943874 must be edited as +639178943874 (noting that +63 is the country code).
Forward it to your email and you should be able to print it out with no problem.
Ad your email to your contacts; in landscape mode--go to contact list--soft key "options" choose new contacts, scroll down to email, type your email address in. Go back to the message inbox -- open the text message-- soft key "options" choose forward -- softkey "Add" -- choose 1. From Contacts, scroll down to your email click mark, choose which every you want TXT, pic or video and click ok and it will be send to your email for you to print.
I had this problem also, make sure your browsre is working since all text messages go through it. I had to program in a new network ,this information should be available to you by contacting your carrier(I have the t-mobile & cingular iformation for this if needed). If browser does work then check message setup(you may have incorrect service center number or gateway entered, also make sure SMS is turned on). To check setup go to message center, select message inbox, select menu, select setup (again you can get the correct info by contacting carrier or I have t-mobile if you would like it)
