Plug play drivers - 1024 only - pan only higher resolution

Cannot adjust resolution from HP laptop.   1920x1200 can be panned through the 1024x768 window, but the e540 will not reset to higher resolution.  Computer fine with nearly identical HP 1120 monitor.  Sony cpd-e540 works ok on other computers.  What the heck is going on?  Can i use a driver to overide the plug/play?   how to driver get for ATI x1300 & the e540?

SOURCE: Installing this PDA on Windows Vista Home Premium laptop

you shouldnt need a device driver for your pda to work along side with Vista, as Vista has it's own Windows mobile device centre which should run as soon as you connect your pda to a usb port. If it doesnt run, then open up windows mobile device centre in programmes and check the mobile device settings as to whether usb is set to connect to the centre.

There should be a factory image on the HD when you try restarting it. Hold down the F8 key or F10 key while its rebooting this should start the recovery process you shouldnt need a windows disk.

SOURCE: Sony Vaio PCG-K23 LCD Monitor will work with

hook the laptop back up to the external monitor, once it boots and has settled, I would like you to hold down the Fn key which should be at the lower left of the keyboard and tap the F7 key. This will toggle the video output from external to internal or both at the same time. I have never heard of an issue where Ubuntu will allow a video signal, but now windows. I hope this works for you.

Can I restore native resolution on my Compaq without a manual?

HA! ya'll should check this out!...

1. First, ignore any advice that you should disable any monitor driver that was supporting a second monitor. Keep your monitor driver(s) enabled, even though it means multiple monitor mode remains "on".
2. As long as multiple monitors is "on", your advanced settings dialog will have more available settings than otherwise (through Properties>Display>Settings tab> Advanced button). So instead of 4 tabs (in one row), you should see 12 tabs in two rows!!
3. Select the Displays tab and click on Panel. Un-check (a blue radio button) "Scale image to panel size".
4. Then select the Adapter tab. Click the button "List All Modes". The list will now include ratios: 640x480, 600x800, 1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200, 1920x1440, and 2048x1536.

There is no way to adjust video resolution on my nx6310

The simplest way is this..
Right Click on Desktop > Properties > Settings Tab > Here you will see all the supported Resolutions (If you got the updated Driver).
Note: Nx6310 supports 1024x768 max, if you are still on it, and want more, its not possible.

Dell Inspiron 2200 maximum display resolution

The display limit is determined by the LCD design. IN this case, you have an XGA LCD resolution 1024 x 768 pixels. This is a hard wired resolution and can only be changed by exchanging the XGA LCD for a higher resolution one (SXGA or higher, likeky not an available option for an Inspitorn 2200)

Extended monitor resolution issues with gma 950 inspiron 6400 e1505

I've ran into similar problems with monitors before. Turns out that some monitors need their own driver installed in order to work with the video card, and, ?guess what?, they don't come with them. I usually find them at the manufacturer's site or driverguide.com Hope this helps, if not get back to me with the make and model and I'll do some research.

Not optimum mode recommended mode 1024 x 768 60hz

Hook up a different monitor and set resolution to no higher than 1024 x 768. Samsung monitor will then work fine. It appears that something fails in the monitor and it will no longer support anything higher than this.

High resolution display drivers needed

You will need to connect an external monitor that is capable of a higher resolution. Sound like the native resolution of the LCD panel in the notebook is 1024X768, not uncommon for 15" laptops.

Anyone know a way to increase the resolution past 1024 x 768?

First, you might want to check what the maximum supported resolution of your monitor is. You can do this by looking it up on the internet or referring to the owners manual. If you cant find that information, in your graphics properties in Windows XP, click the advanced button beneath the color settings and click the monitor tab. Make sure the model listed under 'Monitor Type' matches the monitor you have. If it does, see if the 'Hide modes that this monitor cant display' box is checked. If so, the maximum resolution is limited by your monitor and you may have to upgrade the monitor to go any higher. If the model does not match, you can try the following: click Properties->Driver Tab-> Update Driver and either load the correct ones from the manufacturers web site or use one of the Standard Monitor types provided by the windows Driver library. Be warned though: If you select a standard type with resolution higher than your monitor supports, it will not display correctly at settings higher than 1024x768, and you may have to wait for windows to change the resolution back. Another thing you can try is unchecking the 'Hide modes that this monitor cant display' box, clicking ok, and setting the resolution to something higher than 1024x768, but the same warning applies! If it does not display correctly than you know for sure that the monitor is the limiting factor.
