Pulled the rod with the same results. Have tried adjusting the linkage and still will not roll free, checked the key way on the axel and no problem there. Have backed off the brake and it still does the same thing. What else can I try?

rod is hooked up and the lever it turns on transmission turns to disengage the drive seems to be working properly

when moving the rod does it change the resistance it takes to push it?

Have had this mower for years and have moved it around by pulling disengaement rod but for some reason now it will not disengage the drive, have tried adjusting the rod but still the same, have backed off the brake still will not move. Have checked the key way on both axels and no problem. Also checked the fluids and they are right where they are suppose to be. Any other suggestions as seem to have checked every thing possable so far.

I have a craftsman rider LT2-2000 I can't find a pin or lever to pull to push in reverse when not running anyone know where to find it

all the riding mowers free wheel rods are on the back of the mower below the fender with a locking mechanism, zero turns are either under the seat where the hydraulic pumps are or under the mower but above the deck there's 2 rods on every zero turn. not all the riding mowers have the roll rod some just have neutral and the machine rolls, check your brakes under the back transmission just jiggle the brake and it should unloosen and free roll I hope at least some of this information helps you if not now then in the future

Hydro trans slips on dyt4000 craftsman

I'm having the same problem on a 200 and have narrowed it down to belt slippage. Problem is I replaced both pulley's and belt with Sears parts and made it worse. You can pull back on the brake/clutch pedal and it doesn't slip but there is no adjustment I can find. ANYONE got a CLUE

I have a dyt4000 craftsman riding mower just got

recharge the battery
pull the plug and see if there is any oil in the cylinder
fix the oil leaks
OR
get a new motor 20 hp from e-bay for a good price that just bolts straight in
that way you will have a trouble free mower for the price of a new engine
remember you got it free and that means that is is not a good proposition to repair

Trying to push riding lawnmower up ramps to take it to repair shop and the back wheels are locked. We can't get them to move even if in neutral. Help! Can't get it fixed if we can't get it to the shop. Too...

The brakes have locked up. Look under the right rear side of the mower, between the wheel and transmission. You should see a disc, similar to disc brake on your car but a smaller version, There is a nut you can turn to take the pressure off the brake pad. Should take a 1/2" wrench to do this.
Loosen it enough to get the mower to move back and forth then you should be able to load it up on your truck.

Craftsman LT2000 brakes are failing

On the tranxaxle near the right rear wheel is where the brakes are located. There will be a rod going back to a lever. This lever will have a nut on it. Tighten the nut with a 1/2" wrench. With the transmission in neutral on level ground ensure the mower can be moved with slight resistance.
