I have begun having a problem with my  4-5 year old bose 321 system.  sometimes dvd's burned on my computer will not  play on my bose 321 system.  sometimes they will.  what's up with this?  it's not a bad media problem.  i've narrowed it to the player.  sometimes i'll play a computer burned dvd on the bose and it will play fine.   next time i try to  play it it won't any ideas? thank you in advance mike

Make your DVD player compatible to playback DVD-R or DVD+R then you will burn just that format or try to playback on different DVD player

SOURCE: recorded dvds wont play in other dvd players

You have to finalize the disc. if the disc goes to the end it will finalize the disc automatically. If there is some part of the disc not used you have to do it yourself. IN DVD MODE PRESS SETUP, THEN DISC EDIT, THEN FINALIZE. FINALLY PRESS YES. That should do it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My pioneer dv-120k wont play australian or us cd's. Only home burnt copies of movies.

dvd players because of copyright info can only be set to one region code and can only play dvds from that region. Some players are set at factory some allow user to reset region usually a limited no. of times.
home burnrd dvds usually don't carry that info therefore no issue. So you need to reset player for appropriate region

Problem with Mintek MDP-1810 Portable DVD Player that will play movie DVDs but not computer burned video DVD

The problem I think is with the burner on your pc. Try re burning on another program like Nero and pay attention to the options. It will ask you if you wish to play disc in all types of players.

What type of DVD do I use?

Does your DVD player support DVD R/RW +/- formats? If not, you cannot play DVDs you have burned yourself on it. The player should say either on it or in your manual.

Dvd player dont play burned dvds

This is the problem of DVD formatting. Check if your DVDs are burned in the format which you DVD player can support. If not then you have to go to options in your PC and select the appropriate format which is supported by your DVD player and burn DVDs accordingly.

Dvd wont play just spins

Usual suspects (I have seen each one of these):
1. Home-made DVD defective
a- bad blank
b- bad burn (software settings incorrect)
c- not finalized
d- bad DVD recorder
2. Commercial DVDs - very scratched near center hole where startup data lives
3. Dirty laser lens on DVD player
4. Bad circuitry in DVD player (repairs almost always cost more than a new player)

Home burned DVDs won't load, commercialy produced DVDs load OK

Try using a programme called dvd flick http://www.dvdflick.net/ to author your dvds and use imgburn http://www.imgburn.com/ to burn them. I had similar kind of problem with dvds burned with nero and now use dvd flick and imgburn all the time and have had no problems. They are both free programmes so hopefully they will sort the problem out for you :)

Dvd wont play

I wonder if you are trying to play burned dvds, if so that could be a major issue alot of players won't play burned disks, others will only play certain ones. another thing I have had problems with, though i don't know a fix. My samsung sometimes has a similar issue where it flat out will not play certain company dvds.
