Funny, phone your service provider, asking them if for a service centre number, could be that your phone uses the same service centre number as the guys sending to you. check your message settings. Whats your model?

I have one contact that does not receive words in the text messages I send. What would cause this when all others are receiving the words in the text?

When I was an AT&T customer I could receive texts and multi-media messages from virtually anyone EXCEPT those sent from an iPhone via Verizon - could very likely be a carrier issue and not you phone at all.

I recieve text messages late or not at all. The text messaging option isnt disabled and I have fully paid for my plan what's wrong with it?

Its probably not the phone, its your carrier network.
The network is what takes the call and what sends it to the phone,
your phone really has nothing to do with it.

My LG Rumor isnt getting text messages for some reason, except from people on the same network as me

This is a network problem, not a phone problem. The fact that you are recieving messages at all tells me that your phone is setup and working correctly. Contact your network provider and advise them of the problem.

Text messaging

Unfortunatly you have to call your cell carrier to RTN your phone which will erase everything in your phone. You may try to go to a store to get a software update.
FYI. I worked for Sprint for 3 years.
