There's a setting to record in high speed mode and I suggest you always do that. If a recording in SP doesn't fit on a standard disc I think you will find it won't dub at high speed either
On your machine or on the r/control you should have a copy button,if you press this you should get a menu come up on screen. It should ask you which way you want to copy,so you will go HDD-DVD-R,then press copy again and it should do it automatic, hope this helps.
1. The message can appear if the disc has already been finalised.
2. The disc may be faulty.
3. Try copying again from HDD to another disc. Performing a copy and finalise together by using 'DVD Video Creation' from the Edit menu can be more successful than doing each step separately.
4. When you transferred from your video camera, did you use firewire? If so, did you record at the maximum (default) bitrate of 14+ ? If so, you must copy (rate conversion) to the DVD at a maximum bitrate of 9.2, which is the maximum for the DVD playback standard.
I had the same problem but changed the recording mode to SP. I used a DVD-RW to high speed dub a two hour film and a documentary about a holiday island.
It will only high speed dub in the speed it was recorded in. You can dub, for example, SP on your hard drive to SP on a DVD. You cannot dub high speed, for example, SP on your hard drive to LP on a DVD.
If the DVD is copy right protected then it won't record. By this I mean, you can't simply rent a DVD at Blockbuster and transfer it to the Hard Drive (use a computer to do this instead). Try using a DVD that is not protected, like a home video or a cd with MP3s
Copy content from your DVD to the HDD (hard drive) - then copy content from HDD back to a blank disk. Will not copy protected DVD's. You can also download another intruction booklet for it from the Lite0n website.
