Question about Coleman Powermate Premium Plus 6250W Portable Generator
While using a skill saw with the generator, the generator just stop producing power, clean brushes, check wireing still no power.Need help to solve this problem, need generator to run camp. Thanks
Check the rectifier board installed under gen cover that powers the brushes. This board has a capacitor about 1 inch long and 3/4 inch dia. If the capacitor looks swollen or burned replace board or carefully remove cap and replace with similar. You can use a larger capacitor with same rating, just tie cap to rear cover. Also check the condition of the brushes. Parts are not too expensive. Check with jacksmallengines on the web for parts. enjoy
