Hi i bought this printer in the US but am trying to use it in singapore, where the voltage is 220/240 V. Just wondering if there will be problems; e.g., frequency of the local power supply affecting the quality/performance/safety?
thx so much!

either the power cord wire is gone faulty ,many times this happens so please replace the wire and check.
if it still does not work then its the problem in the back side jack of the printer where the power cord wire gets fitted.get it repaired the printer will work again as normal.

First of all, delete all the copies of that printer in the folder and try again. If possible delete them all and reinstall the printer.

That is just a typical figure 8 cord sold at most places for $4 U.S.
The power supply adapter is built into this machine.
Did you physically drop it?
Disassemble it?

You should verify that your voltmeter is reading correctly. Check it against an fresh flashlight cell--it should read about 1.56 to nearly 1.6 volts. You apparently don't have an overload problem. Usually, only one voltage is the reference voltage for the voltage regulator (+5 volt?). It is entirely possible that the two supplies have a common failure. Make sure they have not been set for 220 volt AC supply.
Testimonial: "All suggestions were right on. Thanks. I was hoping that someone else had a similar problem. I think I must have two bad supplies."

MY PIXMA 180 shows ink waste full so I through it in the bin and purchsed a new printer for less than the price of an ink jet cartridge. Will not use cannon again. Problem resolved.
Hello,
I have a canon pixma mp600, originally bought in the US. The power supply markings are ambiguous. Can it be plugged into a 240 V AC supply?
We moved to South Africa with it.
cheers
