Problem for Kenmore Dishwashers

I have an older (1999) model and the red "lock" light keeps flashing. Holding down the "no heat dry" button (unlock) will not help the problem. The light keeps flashing and I can not start the dishwasher. No buttons will activate.

More than likely it is a shorted key. replace the touch panel.

These dishwashers have a control panel lock feature that allows you to lock the control panel to prevent kids from activating the unit.
To toggle lock/unlock mode, open the door, press and hold the AIR DRY button for 4 seconds.
Please do this before spending any money on the touch panel.
