Question about KitchenAid Dishwashers

1 Answer

OLD KITCHENAIDE MODEL KDI-20 LEAVES SOAP GRANULES ON DISHES.

ALL SOAP PARTICLES DO NOT DISOLVE AND RINSE AWAY AT END OF OPERATING CYCLE. MANY PARTICLES REMAIN ON DISHES, ESPECIALLY THOSE DISHES ON THE TOP RACK.

ALL OPERATING PUNCTIONS, WATER PRE HEAT, WASH CYCLES, DRAIN, RINSE, AND AIR DRY APPEAR NORMAL ALL HEATING ELEMENTS, MOTORS, SOLENOIDS HAVE BEEN CHECKED AND ARE WORKING NORMAL. BOTH SOAP DISPENSERS ARE OPENING.

HELP ! THIS MACHINE IS OLD, BUT STILL LOOKS LIKE NEW.

THANKS,
RUDY NABEL

I have this same problem, plus the pre-wash soap dispenser doesn't open sometimes even though a service guy replaced that. Could he have replaced just one side and not the other? this dishwasher also has a new motor. sometimes it washes beautifully. but other times it does not. even if both dispensers opened.

Check the filtering system and use line filters to eliminate particles that are in your water from entering the washer. Check all of the ports on the spray arm and clean them out. Be aware of the chemicals used to clean dishes as some tend to crystalize when heated and coat dishes. Check that the rinse cycle is working properly and manage your settings accordingly.

My dishwasher Leaves food particles on the dishes and one the dishwasher. It appears to clean the dishes. What can I do about this?

Have you tried checking the filter in the bottom of the dishwasher, if this is blocked it will keep churning the waste matter around on each wash cycle and just drain the water away

The problem is hard water. www.dishwasherfilter.com has a great new product out that will solve this problem once and for all. It filters the water entering your dishwasher and leaves your dishes looking amazing. They even have a money guarantee if you are not completely satisfied. Check it out. You will love it.

so you need to install a water filter, before you connect water supplie, then you need a special soap to clean wachine (Calgonit diswasher cleaner powder ) use-it without dishes. then use a dishwasher salt (to disolve all water dirt and colour) and rinse liquid (to give a clean glass dimond finish ).
use Calgonit Brand is the most trush, on the masket

Dishwasher leaves food particles on dishes

You are not getting enough water in the machine. The inlet valve is probably plugged with sand or something of the sort. You will need to replace the inlet valve.

My GE max leaves food bits on the disher. Is there a filter that needs cleaned?

Usually on the floor there is a grill that strains the water. You may have a buildup of particles there. Your soap maybe old, you may have run out of the liquid that stops spots, or your water may not be hot enough. If the dw is more than 18 months old you probably need to rinse the dishes better before you put them in...especially rice, potatoes, anything with starch in it

Although I previously posted with the same problem of a film on the dishes after cleaning, I did find a section in the owner's manual which solved my problem. Lift up the rinse aid cap on the inside door - the factory setting is on "4". The rinse aid works in conjunction with your local water, which has variations in it's hardness or softness. When your dishes are streaky, lower the rinse aid setting to 1 or 2. If your dishes are spotted, raise the rinse aid setting higher.
